I might say that I actually have no major gripe with Susan Collins. That loan to Iraq business was just one of those incidents though. I get tired of hearing how she opposes the president on one thing or another just for seemingly, the free press...

If it wasn't for that, which tends to slightly obscure contributions that she has made. Mainers don't like undue attention drawn to them.

I bet Susan voted for Kerry but I am not sure of that. Only a hunch of mine.

There won't be another Bush in office after GW. Especially since a lot of Americans are starting to wake up. GW's approval rating is lower now than it's ever been. He can't get anything passed. I see the beginning of a downward spiral for the Bushes and they are going to take the Republican party down with them.

HILLARY IN 2008!!

After the crap that he pulled in the Schiavo case, I would not vote for Jeb if he ran for dog catcher. Now the Democrats need to get their act together, and come up with a decent, middle of the road candidate. They made a tremendous tactical error with Kerry. He just did not have "what it takes".

Hillary just won't make it. She just has too much "baggage", and too many people dislike her intensely.

You cannot blame Jeb for, as his brother put it, "erring on the side of life..."

Jeb is fine with me... I think it is Terry's husband and his family that should examine their lies they told the judges.

RexRed- I CAN blame him for attempting to use his office as a political sledgehammer to override the court system.

I don't see it that way I think the Judges are the ones who have not protected the rights of Terry... They treat her as a piece of property rather than a person. How may wives is Michael allowed to own?

I don't think the Dems need to do anything at all. Just set back and let the Republicans keep doing what they are doing. The Republicans will become less and less popular as people start to realise they are loosing their freedoms and right to dignity. There's going to be a lot of Republicans voted out in 2008 if they keep doing what they are doing. So I say Democrats don't stoop to their level, The Dems were always just below 50% with the republicans so they don't need to make much of a come back. All they have to do is wait.

There was a poll in the Idaho statesman, and keep in mind, idaho is one of the most Republican states.

Should Schiavo's feeding tube be reinserted?

NO 66.3%
Yes 25.4%
Not Sure 8.3%

The majority of Republicans in Idaho think that Jeb, George and Congress overstepped their bounds by getting involved and as a result Bush's national approval rating has dropped to an all time low in just one week.

Americans don't like to be strong armed and most support death with dignity over life without dignity.

Terry's father just went on cable television and challenged Governor Jeb "I implore him to put a stop to it" "with a stroke of his pen he could stop it immediately" "step up to the plate" and called the court system "judicial tyranny".

When you're dying and unconscious you don't eat or drink. This is a natural dying process. The feeding tube is what was artificial. But it would have been more humane for them to administer a lethal dose to stop her heart. The law needs to be changed so that people can die with dignity. She had the rite to die, but she didn't have to starve. But then, without a cerebral cortex she can't really have a clue what's going on around her anyway. 20 doctors have confirmed that she's brain dead and not self aware. It wasn't until politicians got involved that this private matter became a mess.

There is nothing "natural" about starving someone to death... If that was natural then we would not need food to "sustain" life... That is the whole point is to sustain it. If she was so brain dead and could feel no "pain" then what would have really been the harm to have let her live to at least comfort the living who "really" lover her... Dogs get treated with more love than her adulterous "husband " has done for her... She is a piece of property and he "owns" two wives... Maybe a judge should have considered this when the money went bust and the husband just wanted to kill her and get it over with... Any judge has got to be cold, unfeeling and an idiot to have let this scoundrel play them for fools...

What about these broken supposed broken bones? Don't her blood relatives deserve confirmation that this is not the case? But no the judge has ruled erroneously across the board... This is tyranny and I think the legislative branch of our government needs a wake up call... They free rapists and give then short sentences so they can kill little girls but they have no pity for the innocent and defenseless.
