Animals are capable to taking care of themselves. Release a cat or dog into the wild and they will survive. Any animal we currently have domesticated will survive on it's own. Have you heard about the stories of the feral cats in Wisconsin? They seemed to do just fine on their own.

Old people for the most part can take care of themselves. Some are so bad that they are put into an old folks home and cared for. I also have an issue with this. Call me cold haearted, but it isn't what nature intended.

I've seen many starved animals. And, I don't think we should let our old citizens rot in their floors when they can no longer care for themselves.

Montana, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but Jeb's wife is Mexican. I don't think many people in the red states (except Florida) would like a Mexican first lady. For once bigotry would have a positive effect.
