I can't respond on this one because I'm a porn basher. I walk the streets day and night with a sign that says "I won't stand for anymore of your nasty porn you bloody porn bastards"!!!

I think I saw you the other day. That was me in the Hummer that tried to run you over.

I know. Didn't you hear me screaming your name as I was smashing your hummer with my sign.

Some of them seem to, dlowan, as they refer to all the other threads as they're starting their own.

Do they?

I don't READ them.

Oh my - I kept a chat open one night, downloading some damn thing to me current fella.

The next night, I got a phone call from a somewhat puzzled man - asking delicately about the extra file he had received.

"Extra file?" said I - "WHAT extra file?"

Turns out that a porn company spammed the chat with a porn video - pretty hard-core, as far as I can determine - so he got a major surprise when he opened stuff in the am........

I was very amused - but he had been quite shocked.

Oh yeah.

"I saw that a lot of you have the same problem that I do" and then it's on to describing how they rooted into someone's email, or listened to his phone messages, and sent emails to his old girlfriend, and "oh my god, it can't be me, i look good."

I'm sort of oddly fascinated to see them, and to marvel at all the interesting spelling permutations in them, but ... porn is better than complaints about porn.

I am oddly attracted to them too. They drive me crazy but I am oddly drawn to reading. I guess I am sort of a masochist.

I agree with panzade - its women who are most responsible for this limited idea of beauty than men. Women are much less forgiving, to themselves and to others, than men. Men seem to like women in a variety of shapes and sizes while women only strive for that magazine beauty.

I ran an ad for the studio last Valentine's Day that featured a full figured woman. I didn't get many calls from women but I sold a hell of a lot of gift-sessions for men to give their wives or girlfriends!

Lol - well, that explains why you are reading the damn things, if they annoy you so!!!

That is very funny.

Is it a bit like the mirror image of reading the scandal sheets if you are a fundy preacher, so you can be appalled????

Very human - we are weird critters...

Exactly what I was thinking!!

I am blood and injury phobic - so I actually TRY to watch that stuff in films, to try to desensitize.

I can't do it IRL yet, though.

Heehee - we're sort of fighting in one thread, and chatting in another - like I said, weird critters.

I think they are almost the best ethical dilemna, dlowan.

a sort of synthesized transcript ...

Quote:

"I snooped to find evidence of his porn use.
Now, how do I tell him, cuz he'll know I snooped."

"Right on, sistah! Porn is degrading! You did the right thing! All men are scum!"

"So how do I tell him?"

I wasn't fighting with you. Like I said, I value intelligent opinions, even if I don't agree. I wouldn't have bothered to respond if your post had no validity. Smile

Lol Pop it on the real ethical dilemma thread?

People get into that sort of dilemma in lots of ways - like reading your kid's diary, cos you are really worried that they are suicidal - and finding they are - then being scared to tell them you read.
