CJ, I actually do like Playboy for the articles...of course the naked airbrushed hotties aren't bad either.

And no Paula, I didn't "join" him. Now stop with the sick fantasies....

Sick woman.

Actually, in all honesty, Playboy is quite artful. They display the female body quite well in a lot of shots, where as Hustler, Penthouse, Swank....they are just "spread 'em wide sweetie".

Yes, Playboy doesn't show women in very provocative poses.

That's why I use it for ass-paper.

Slappy
Are you a 'leg' man or an 'ass' man?

I say 'ass', everytime you show up someone yells "Your an ass man!"

R. Dangerfield, I liked him.

And Playboy goes way overboard on the airbrushing. The last time I looked at one, maybe ten years ago, all of the women's skin look like plastic. The retouching was outrageously over-done. But, nobody else was complaining...

It's a shame you libbed-fems won't decry the ridiculous worship of the perfect 10 female body in our society. The number of women who have died through malnutrition and botched augmentation operations is staggering.

On what basis do you say that we don't?

It has all been said Pan, and there isn't any way to change the way people/advertisers portray woman.
I just thought of something, perhaps men who like shapely or non-anorexic women should do a little talking.
Advertisers target men as well as woman. Don't men have the greatest spending power?

Men have more buying power. Women have more spending power.

I personally hate it but the fact remains that the "image" is there. And not to mention, women wouldn't strive for that unrealistic body if men stopped buying magazines and videos with those women in them. Vicious cycle.

That is so true and so very sad. Todays culture has forced way too much "perfectionism" upon us. It's shoved down our throats in magazines, commercials, job performances and success, the kind of car we drive, where we live, what we wear, the diets, the gyms. It's almost a wonder that anyone hooks up with anyone else with so much at stake about not being so perfect.

30 or 40 years ago, women were adored for their natural sexy curves. Think of Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow..heheh, even Mae West. Men were not judged on the six pack of abs that they had or the size of his biceps.

Or going back even further and looking and Renaissance paintings. Gorgeous, full figures women depicted in the paintings of the masters...

I have yet to understand why so many feel the need to change who they are. It's never the package or the wrappings that matter in the end, it's the gifts inside each of us that truly make us beautiful anyway....

As my mama always used to say..."All that glitters is not gold"
