I celebrated my birthday having dinner with my friends Petra, Uschi and Erwin at the restaurant where BigDice works. I am still smiling. Good friends are so imporant. Now I have to go to bed - it's 2 am...
It was really a nice day today, with the temp running in the mid-60's.
Awwwwwwww Urs, Happy Birthday .......... we didn't know!!!!
How about we celebrate when you get here?
Hugs, Jen
BTW, I totally agree about having good friends.
Happy birthday, urs!
Did your cats help you celebrate?
mrs. hamburger's birthday was on thursday, and she's recovering from eye surgery about three weeks ago, soooooo to celebrate, she and hamburger drove here yesterday. we had lunch yesterday, and today we had lunch with Setanta as well, while the dogs were off being groomed. After lunch we went for a bit of a walk and shop. hamburger bought mrs. hamburger a very nice cape thingie, and he got me a new pair of gloves.
the big smile? when i was looking at the gloves and mulling over blue? red? blue? red? o.k. blue, he came over and said, "get red. it goes with everything!" Now that's a fun dad!
Urs.
Happy Natal Day!
ehBeth, what a fantastic dad you have. Red goes with everything? Love it!
Ah, Miss Misti. That was one fantastic picture, especially the eyes. Cats' eyes are mesmerizing. One might say they take your breath. Hee hee!
Hey Ms. Letty, how are you afer bike week in Daytona?
I see lots of them here in this area too now, so I guess they're on their way home or due south!
I want one:)
My stepson got married today and it was so sweet!
It was a religious ceremony, fitting for them, but in the middle they were at the kneeling altar for the full length of a song gazing into each others eyes and talking, laughing, smiling all mooshy like.
It was true young love going on there, and she is a stunningly beautiful girl, he is one happy guy tonite...
He landed a great job last year so they are both doing well...it's great to see twentysomethings dreams taking off.
Ah, Brand X. Do you cry at weddings? I can truly picture that young couple kneeling--exchanging vows. Reminds me of my son's wedding.
Misti, let's just say this. I can't hear out of my left ear..lol...Those hawgs seem to love A-1-A...
There was hardly a dry eye in there, including my two...
Ah, Brand X. That made me smile.
Thank you all! Of course reading your wishes makes me smile.
Misti, oh yes, let's celebrate in Florida. Stefan's birthday is on March 20... :-)
Was browsing someone's files in a P2P program, came upon a directory called "dont look in here mom" ...
<grins>
nimh -- That's a good one. (Did you look? I know you're not a mom, don't worry!)

OK... I found something to really grin about... Hamburger's right, too. Let's hear it for red gloves & red shoes!
nimh's post reminded me of a file I deliberately left on my PC after I resigned from a company some years ago.
Steve, my manager at the time, had been an engineer with me and had a known fondness for the unadorned female form. The file I left was named "nudes.doc".
Two weeks into my new job I got a call from Steve. "Ya got me!" he said. He had been going through my stuff and opened the file. It contained the text "C'mon Steve, you didn't really think there'd be anything hot in here!"
Piffka's is a cute picture. It reminded me of a smile I forgot to recount here, from a few days ago.
I walked into the supermarket, and grabbed an avocado from next to a guy and a woman who were standing there, carrying on a contented conversation. Well, she seemed quite excited to see him, he - looking all the part of the much-fabled "new man", be it a slightly dishevelled version, looked a little tired, and a little absent-minded.
I walked on. Around the corner, in the dairy aisle, was a shopping cart, and standing inside it was a little girl, only slightly smaller than the girl in that picture - the cutest little girl, she appeared quite happy. She was quite big already, but not so tall that she would tip the cart by leaning against one side as she did, kicking her feet a little and singing softly to herself. It was only when I had passed her that I realised what she'd been singing: "where is daddy, where is daddy, where is daddy, where is ..."
<smiles>

Yes, I must admit I did. Hell, the other day I even opened a folder that I came across using Soulseek's "browse user's files", that was called "ex girlfriend (not mine)". Nothing much interesting in there, but it did give me a grin, too.
