What made you smile today?

My wife and I traveled to Los Altos today to walk around town for exercise. We also had lunch at one of their restaurants. It was a nice walk and visit.

I ran across my NY Giants No. 56 tee shirt in my closet. It inspired me to watch some Lawrence Taylor videos on youtube. Da best. Still smiling.

A call from my ex husband, John. We talk two or three times a year to catch up with what is going on for ourselves re our lives, and what's new with our old friends and, of course, my niece and my bro in law, his bro. Always satisfying to get that phone call. Twenty years now since the break-up. Happy that we still talk once in a while, a kind of comfortable life continuum I'm glad to have experienced the gamut of: 1974 through to 2017.

Laughing - we managed to only mention Trump once, and it was myself who brought him up regarding my still grumpily following news these days... he grunting at the name.

Also I enjoyed the golf commentary by the Guardian folks. Well, I would, they tend to be good writers.

I got a big computer scare today, couldn't access google or basically anything, after no problem at all last evening. Tender scaredycat that I am since I have nursed my miserable but loved old mac for eleven years now and get along on a money knife edge, I fall into computer anxiety, which includes avoidance behavior.

I noticed this around 6 am, and didn't call the IP people until early afternoon.

Between my own hard of hearing business and my computer's fairly recent fuzzy sound, the IP helper and I had a real go-round, both of us trying to be nice while going somewhat crazy to understand each other. But they helped and we were copasetic at the end of the rigorous task, and yes, the access is back now, and I'm smiling.
