Seeing, and hearing, this fellow opera lover did make me smile today.

Cockatiel parrot, Coco, sings Opera-- Mozart, Queen of the Night Aria

Coco is a young rescue cockatiel in Sydney Australia. He showed an interest in opera and started mimicking the Queen of the Night aria from Mozart's Magic Flute. His partner, Miss Charlie, is unimpressed.

My mate big Nigel was selling one of these on his stall.

He jokingly pretended to drink out of it. That's not what made me smile, it was the look on his face when something shot out of it into his mouth.

There's a moral there somewhere.

Sold an enamel bathtub to a young mother of three who's going off-grid. Showed her our hot-water setup, and gray water filtration. She was stoked.

Sometimes I say things to myself that make me laugh out loud. I was debating with myself about something, and I said to myself, "If I were you ..." I started to laugh.

It was an odd morning reading news and a2k, unusually depressing to me re world news and people's troubles on a2k.

Later, I've finally read something that cheered me up - the signs in the photos at the march in Los Angeles for Science. Made me feel not so all all alone. Plus LA is my home town.
