@ossobucotemp,
We're heading up to the New England district to escape the fierce heatwave (just Summer, really) for a couple of weeks of casual hiking. Looking forward to that.

Never heard anyone call New England a district.

@tsarstepan,
It's in Australia, I think, and that makes sense with the current temperatures.

Lunch with a neighbour and her 3 year-old daughter. Little E is quite a giddy little charmer. We had a great time. The restaurant owner tossed her a handful of fortune cookies at one point and that kept little E very busy and everyone around us entertained. Much smiling.

I got my new drivers licence today and I didn't scream when I looked at my new photo. That bodes well for the next 7 years.

@glitterbag,
Why does all DMVs have such bad cameras that results in such poor picture quality? I think they use better cameras in the prisons.

It's the highlands of New South Wales in OZ. Just an hour off the coast, the temperatures are rather chilly, as opposed to the steambath conditions at lower altitudes. The road up is called Waterfall Way, and is one of the more interesting drives in Australia.

The destination being New England National Park, which has remnant forests from Gondwanaland days.

@tsarstepan,
Will do. She likes to lick my nose. A lick is as good as a peck.
