@Kolyo,
Like that.

Today, I ordered and ate my first fried ravioli. I don't think of them as a mortal sin, but close. I liked them, plus the good sauce. Have some left in a styro container: breakfast.

Grits arrived! If only I didn't have class, I'd run home and cook some up.

@FBM,
Grits and shrimp are really good together.

@chai2,
I'm confused now.

I always thought that grits was a sort of porridge type thing, but made with corn instead of oats.

Am I right in thinking that the corn mush has somehow been made into that pancake in your picture, chai?

@Lordyaswas,
I think it was just poured carefully for that photo, but it is possible to make them into something like pancakes.

Yes. Lordy, think polenta.

It can be creamy, or made more firmly.

Last night after posting that shrimp grit dish, I was compelled to make some grits for myself.
I made it rather runny, because I added cheddar cheese after it was in the bowl , and it thickened up.

Grits are not an exact science. They are an art. Very Happy

I'm not joking; my mouth watered when I saw that. By the way, I skipped the shrimp and went traditional. Grits, 2 eggs (runny yolks), bacon and 2 slices of cheese toast. Next time, I'll get fancy with the shrimp.

It makes me smile that Grimm is on tonight.
I LOVE that show.

Last episode, Julliette gave me a THRILL
when she announced that she is carrying a gun.

Future victims shud always do that.

I sent a Boston 2015 calendar to my friend Pat in Western Australia.
He'll send me an Australian-themed calendar.
(I'm looking at a picture of Perth on the one he sent last year.)
We've been doing this for years.

Yea But, a most remarkable site. Tossed out of many such sites before I came here, I'm positively amazed at what they let us get away with

This exchange between BFN and Dale got more than a smile from me.
