I bought my first pomelo, which was also the first one I've ever seen in the flesh, as it were. It looks like a giant grapefruit; not quite ripe yet, so I'll wait before checking it out. If nothing else, I can candy the rind. It's an asian citrus (citrus maximus); lots of thai and vietnamese pomelo salad recipes show up on google.
