Wally noted though that it did all have to start with a driver who took the initiative to mention this really terrific boy, and it having to go through the chain of command. It didn't just "happen"

I woke up today and my guts aren't churning and I have some energy go out and take a walk.

That's a good start, anyway.

My SSW (sainted social worker) got the sound back on my computer. And the SSW said, "Let there be sound."

Edit: Oh, I woke up to a few more inches of snow. That made me smile.

Too long, took me five minutes to tell Diane, and I sometimes talk fast.

Anyway, much awfulness including my real life access to the site (don't get me started) at the end added up to $34.00, via a trip first re major bills. Relief, and they have a new customer.

That may be a worked out ploy, but worked for me.

This happened yesterday. Does it count?

The organization that sponsors my book group had a Christmas breakfast. This organization helps "older women." I think I was the youngest one there.

A bunch of watches were on display. We were encouraged to take one. (I love free stuff!). I go over along with others. What were we looking for. Beauty? No. Style? No. Color? No. So what then? "Is the watch face big enough so I can see it?"

I tried not to laugh. But the memory still makes me smile. BTW, my watch has a face big enough for me to see, but the band is too big. (Watches weren't try-on-able.) C'est la vie. I still love free stuff.

Work Xmas party. Eye-fillet steak; thick and bloody. Garlic prawns, garden salad, cold beer, and great company.

What happens after that is usually a stomach ache and a let down.

What followed, was a leisurely drive home, and nice arvo nap in the Summer breeze.
