The Egyptian folklore troupe I dance in competed in a belly dance competition tonight. We were first runners-up overall in the troupe category - and are the #1 Egyptian folklore troupe in Canada .... pretty darn cool Very Happy

we had a mamma sheep deliver triplets early this AM without any help (I fell asleep on a hybale till Mrs F came outside at 4AM). Mamma sheep and all three lmbs are doing fine. They really are showing an early sense of adventure . When I went out an hour ago all three lambs were perched on top of momma all snugged up and she was patiently letting them. These three will be kept as breed stock sheep if they grow nicely.

Im off duty tonite and Mrs F has an Amish kid doing 3 AM to 10 AM barn duty.

only for certain breeds like Finn Landrace. We raise Corriedales and Cormo and they aren't usual triplet bearers. triplets can be a stress on the mothers so we have to watch to see that mommas don't appear weak and anemic. Then we take the lambs off and feed em by bottle (after they get colostrum for a day )

Im making some chocolate for Mrs F and Jakie (the Amish kid). Then I go sleep .

I got up this morning and realized that even though we've had our ups and downs, squinney is still my valentine and I hers after 25 years and as a bonus it's our daughter's birthday. I'm still smiling as a matter of fact.
