@hingehead,
No, not all at the same time, hinge.
But think of the savings I could make on my water bills if I could manage it! Smile

I had some errands to take care of. I was waiting to cross one street when I saw a group of novices (beginner nuns?) walking toward the corner I was heading for. I got there and waited in the street for the light to change. The novices waited on the sidewalk. I heard some cheery hellos behind me. I didn't turn around. Hey, this is Noo Yawk. The light changed and one of the novices walked up next to me and said hello. I said hello back. She asked my name. I told her. She asked me if I was walking that way. I said I was hobbling that way. She asked me if there was a special prayer i wanted her to say for me. I say no. She said she would pray for me. I said thanks. Then our paths diverged.

This made me smile. Not 100 percent sure why, but it did. It still does. I felt good after that little encounter.

U mean that u actually BELIEVE
that VP Cheney said that, Andy ?????????

I wish that it had been TRUE.

He 'd have been a much better President than W was.
HE was and he IS a real conservative,
whereas the Bushes were not and are not.

I was saddened when Reagan chose Bush
to balance out Reagan 's own conservatism.

It's adventure day at the office. Most people are at Wonderland. The company ordered Swiss Chalet for everyone (all coupla dozen of us) who stayed behind to hold up the walls.

Little girl, perhaps 3, practicing being a synchronized swimmer at the pool, because she's saw it "on the 'lympics"

@chai2,
At the checkout line in the supermarket yesterday. Person in front of me young woman with her little daughter (no more than three or four years old) in the grocery cart. Cashier one of those "the-customer-is-always-right" and "this-smile-is-a-permanent-part-of-me" type that virtually sings "Thank you" at the end of every transaction. As I moved up in line and the woman in front of me was wheeling her cart out, the little girl looked up at the cashier, smiled and sang out "Thank you" in absolutely perfect imitation of the cashier's tone of voice.

Everybody in line broke up.

@Lustig Andrei,
On a crowded 5 o'clock elevator yesterday, someone's cell phone GPS said with authority, "turn left"

@Lustig Andrei,
Was that Safeway?

Attack the odd shopper with friendliness in front of the bagged flours..

Later I knew a guy who's girlfriend worked there, where this stuff was pumped.

Luckily, my present most local market seems to be sane. (Brooks)

@Kara,
Hi, Kara! How great to see you!

Had to change names when the hamsters refused to recognize Merry Andrew any more. Result of a change in e-mail addresses as I understand it. Figured the multi-lingual crowd in here would have no trouble making the connection.

Really good to see "see" ya. Don't be such a damn' stranger.
