The cable guy just left. He put in a new cable box. He was showing me around. He asked me what kinda music I like. Elvis, says I. He flipped to the oldies station. Chubby Checker singing The Twist. He and I started twisting.
I've been doing a lot of dancing lately.
I just had a dance in my heart Boida... reading what you wrote made me smile so big. Love you goil x

@Roberta,
One more time! Everybody up on your feet and dance along with Roberta...
Now see what you did! I've been threatened by the McDonald's management of being barred from this joint forever. No more free wi fi if that happens! They say I can't do the twist with all those people waiting in line for their McDoubles.
I still adore those two lovelies and they always make me smile

Doc told me today she was thinking I could discontinue blood pressure meds.
We compromised, I'll fill the prescription (it's a low dosage) and keep watching.
It's not that we "know" anyone. We have our retirement investments with Vanguard, and they sent their 1099R's out early (in addition to web access). We don't bother with bank savings accounts, because the earnings from them is not worth the time or effort to earn a quarter of 1% interest after taxes.

A fun dinner out and chat with Ginny (longdog from Abuzz). She's in town working on her dissertation. She was a bit late arriving at Daddyo's as she got locked inside the museum.
The stories and smiles are always big when Ginny's around.
Thank you. Me, I know my numbers can leap and I prefer low dose (half of the lowest possible dose) and watching, rather than just stopping. But that's basically cheery news.

@ehBeth,
Ginny was the one who pleaded at me to visit her place in Pennsylvania, and while I resisted, re my first time in town in years (lived there, 1950, back 1969, this was 2003) that kept me away, my problem, from contacting joe nation or frank. I spent a lot of time saying no to Ginny. I remember her as insistant.
Hey, I remember longdog. She had a picture posted on Littlek's site. That was worth a smile, alrighty.

The sister and brother-in law of a dear friend sent me a belated Christmas present. An Elvis CD. Songs collected just for me. Inside the case is a collection of photos of the King, from childhood to the end. Listening to the music made me smile. Made me dance sitting down. Made remember the first time I saw Elvis and heard him. Still smiling.

@ossobuco,
Standing up for my rights, that made me smile.
Oh and telling that to my friend as I know that, he is one.

Just talked with my ex husband for an hour, good talk. I'm basically glad we are still in touch, for us it is a kind of continuity, re life, as we were together twenty five years, and it's been fifteen more since the split. Very glad about the present play he's directing, proud of him in my way, and well I should be, heh. I have to figure out if I want to post about it on the board, I might and I might not want to, and if I do, I should ask him first.
