I had to bring my car in for a quicky today. It had failed to start twice today, after the second visit by AAA, I drove it straight to Ed's. The problem is out of the range of this thread. But, I was sent on my way with good wishes and a free quart of oil. So I gave the guy a box of chocolate a student's mom gave me today - our last day of summer school. I hope they had enough to share. I grinned about my small good deed all the way home.

This morning, I had a dream in which the woman I fancy gave me a long, French kiss. "Could you please pinch me?", I asked her happily, " I can't believe this is really happening." So she did. And I woke up.
I will never ask such a stupid favor again!
But that kiss did make me smile.
Cleo and Bailey are doing the Egyptian Dog routine.. (looking like statues for a second in time).

it was nice to be together with everyone feeling relaxed

Being on the ferry as the poker run started.
Man, I love those fast boats.
I saw My Way - powered by helicopter turbines. Whooo Hoooo. I can hardly wait to get my pictures downloaded, I lucked into a great observation spot on the ferry.
Meeting Roberta in real life for the first time made me smile today. She's very ... well, let me circumscribe.
At one point during our Italian dinner -- which was delicious by the way, Roberta chose well -- I said: "You know what, Roberta, I'm going to post this on the 'What made you smile today' thread. And I'm going to write you're very sweet <grin>." To which she replied, "You have no idea how much trouble you're in." And when she said the word "you" in this sentence, she gave me exactly the same intense look and the same index-finger-pointing that Uncle Sam gives you on the historic "Uncle Sam wants you!" posters.
It was at this very moment that I got enlightened: Whatever Roberta is, she is not sweet!

ok - now take Roberta - turn her from a NooYawk goil to a boy - and you've pretty much got Set (weird, but true - ask brendlee and The Empress)
Smiling big knowing the Boid and Thomas had dinner. How happy is that?

I can totally see what you describe, too -- reminds me of my dad's side of the family. (Roberta has reminded me of that part of my family before...)
