i smiled...

as my 10 year old little boy climbed onto the school bus - turned around and said "i love you mom"

love him

i smiled...
as i walked into the utility room - saw the dog eating the cat's food - she sheepishly slunk (is that a word) past me - looked round and "smiled" at me!

(little b*tch)

This post from c.i. on the Beautiful Animals thread made me smile:

On our visit to a village school outside of Xian (where we spent the day and night hosted by locals), we mingled with the children during art class, and this was a gift from a girl in one of the classes we visited.

We had wintery mix last night and ice this morning.

I salted and swept and salted and shoveled....the stick began to beat the dog, the dog began to herd the pig, the pig jumped over the style and I managed to get out on my errands.

I'm ordering my CDs from the USA: they are a lot cheaper there in general, and due to the excellent exchange even more.

Now I found a small label ...

Your CDs have been gently taken from our CD Baby shelves with
sterilized contamination-free gloves and placed onto a satin pillow.

A team of 50 employees inspected your CDs and polished them to make
sure they were in the best possible condition before mailing.

Our packing specialist from Japan lit a candle and a hush fell over
the crowd as he put your CDs into the finest gold-lined box that money
can buy.

We all had a wonderful celebration afterwards and the whole party
marched down the street to the post office where the entire town of
Portland waved "Bon Voyage!" to your package, on its way to you, in
our private CD Baby jet on this day, Sunday, January 6th.

I hope you had a wonderful time shopping at CD Baby. We sure did.
Your picture is on our wall as "Customer of the Year." We're all
exhausted but can't wait for you to come back to CDBABY.COM!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Sigh...

For real?

That's fantabulous customer service and promotion!!! I love it. Very Happy

Noddy - I have one of those groceries. Thanks for reminding me that I need to jot a note of praise to the manager.

What made me smile today?

Mr. Hancock. He is an older gentleman in the neighborhood that comes to walk around the pool. Sometimes he says that angels walk with him. He always brings me a piece of candy and tells me "God loves you. His son Jesus loves you. And, I care for you."

Today he told me he knows he can't walk around the pool (no lifeguards on duty) but he comes to the Clubhouse to see me anyway.

I love Mr. Hancock.

Even though it's only January, about a dozen of the daffodil bulbs I planted have come up.

Today is a gray, wet day, but when I went out my front door, I was greeting with this bright burst of color, in an otherwise drab world.

Chai, you're mentioning of your flowers made me think of my flowers, so you are responsible for 2 of my smiles today.

Thanks Very Happy
