And it was so unexpected!
The gift was from my mother, who was considering her will options (again! :wink: ) & decided to give away a few $$$$
before her death, rather than after. Amazingly, the amount was right on the ball!

(I never discuss "financial hardship" with my family. For very good reasons, trust me! I've always kept these things to myself.) And even though it wasn't a
huge amount, by any means, which I owed the bank, the way things have been going with interest rates, I was wondering if I'd
ever be able to pay it off, given my not-so-terrific on & off earnings. I was actually paying almost double in interest rates than my fortnightly "contribution", on the standard rates. I'd reached the stage where I couldn't bring myself to look at the bank statements, it was so depressing. So this development was amazing. I am so grateful! AND I now own my little house! Can't believe it!
