Thank you, thank you, Soz & Tai!

And it was so unexpected! Surprised

The gift was from my mother, who was considering her will options (again! ) & decided to give away a few $$$$ before her death, rather than after. Amazingly, the amount was right on the ball! Surprised (I never discuss "financial hardship" with my family. For very good reasons, trust me! I've always kept these things to myself.) And even though it wasn't a huge amount, by any means, which I owed the bank, the way things have been going with interest rates, I was wondering if I'd ever be able to pay it off, given my not-so-terrific on & off earnings. I was actually paying almost double in interest rates than my fortnightly "contribution", on the standard rates. I'd reached the stage where I couldn't bring myself to look at the bank statements, it was so depressing. So this development was amazing. I am so grateful! AND I now own my little house! Can't believe it!Very Happy

>>clink<<

I paid off that debt a couple of days ago & am still giddy with relief at being off the hook. Like, wow, really? It's actually gone?Surprised Very Happy
Honestly, this is my first bit of good fortune in ages! Things had been looking rather dismal, I can tell you. (Roberta knows a bit more about this & has been terrifically supportive & sympathetic. Smile )

Anyway, "PHEW" is what I say! PHEW! Very Happy
