"Carpe diem"

I always thought it meant, "A **** a day keeps the doctor away"

Live and learn!

Remembered a smile that's a couple of days old:

Mom's pushing her little girl in a stroller. All the while the little one is singing, "We goin' to a paaahty; we goin' to a paaahty." It wasn't until they entered tha ladies' room that I realised the little girl was singing "potty" not "party." Ya just gotta' love that New England accent. Smile

One of my family friends turned 50 the other day and his whole family got together and organised to get him a motorbike (motobi ardizio from the 1950's). And this guys whole life has been bikes so to get an old one like this to restore has been his dream...We live in queensland, australia. This bike came from Italy to London to victoria (australia) then finally to here. His daughters have been in Ireland and London for a couple of years and his sons been in America for four.... it was the first time they'd all been home at the same time since they went..... it was pretty emotional, so we all had a cry, but there were even more smiles........

then at the party there was an adorable four year old boy.... he got on the bike (he could barely reach the handlebars) and it was just so cute....
that made me smile for the rest of the night...
*there's nothing more precious than the smile on a childs face*

I smiled today when I woke up before my alarm, without a sore head, and looked out of the window to see that it was blessedly overcast with no bloody sun to make another day at the office slightly more bearable.

Such small things...!

i made it to work and back, without any power black-outs. not so smile-inducing was getting a call from our company lawyer saying a tribunal would be going on today, though our witnesses are still stuck across the continent. i wasn't really dressed for a tribunal appearance. oh well. as they say in the ottawa valley, Ho hum, pig's bum. saying that always makes me smile! Very Happy

Watched a program on VH1 showing old clips of the Carol Burnett show with Harvey Korman and Tim Conway cracking up at each other. I had forgotten how good that was.
