Aw...

Today, playdate with Jack, kids wandering around the house while grown-ups chatted in the kitchen. Bloodcurdling scream from living room. Jack comes tearing through, with the sozlet in hot pursuit, a straw hat with black and white polka-dot ribbon in her outstretched hands; "Jack, wear the hat! Wear the hat, Jack!!"

Shocked

I gave her a little lecture on makeover etiquette.

Getting online without fighting with my DSL connection for twenty minutes put a smile on my face this morning. (DSL's been messed up for two days--now I have to fix the garbage disposal. Wink)

The Sozlet and Jack vignette sounds like an occasional episode in the saga of ehBeth and Setanta. Laughing

You just made me grin, soz - and that's a big thing in the sweat-a-thon we're having at work.

haha soz that just made me smile too, I could picture it, what made me smile this afternoon was when we (my wife my son and I) were digging through old pictures and James (my son) held up a picture of me with him on my shoulders and a picture of me in full army dress uniform and says wooork daady, plaaay daddy and just the way he said it was classic.

Clark Terry and Oscar Peterson. Love it, Tar.

Ah, Gautam. There's no way A2K can do without you for two whole weeks.

Smiling for you and at you. Cool

Playing peek-a-boo with a neighbour's baby. I hid behind my giant hat and re-appeared. She grinned and grinned and grinned. Til her hat slid over her eyes. Then she started to pout. So I moved her hat back up her forehead - and she grinned again. Then I made bird and cat noises, and she did a bit of a baby snort, and I laughed. That was a nice end to a rather trying week.

I sure smiled when I heard my man whistle while he walked around the garden today - he is recovering from heart surgery and it is the first time he has felt like whistling again.

Bailey and Cleo and I ran into Kelsey and Lynn when we went for our early morning walk. Kelsey is getting to be a bit of an old-girl-dog and can be a bit cranky. She and Bailey have always got on well, and now she is teaching Cleo about her place in the pack. Watching Cleo learn to be respectful of Kelsey (Kels is a little white terrier) was kinda funny. Lynn and I had to hold back our laughs. By the end of the walk, Kelsey and Cleo were walking side by side, sniffing the same things at the same time, and getting along nicely. <<smile>>

Kelsey also got to have a bit of a runnnnnnnn with Bailey in the park. She can't run long and hard anymore, but Bailey ran with her a bit, and then ran around her in big loops as she trotted around a bit more. There were some huge doggie smiles happening. Lynn said that Bailey looked like Jack Nicholson's Joker with his black mouth against his white face. We were all smiling then.
