So many things are going on in my life, I have trouble keeping track. Once I get things calmed down a little, my biggest project will be relaxing and taking care of me. I haven't done that lately at all. And my health is really showing it.
I was away in Austin all summer, dancing. I'm back in Boston, at least semi-permanently this time. . . I'm teaching again, at the same school as last year. That's mostly a very good thing. The school has just expanded way too quickly, so we're having growing pains and strange politics. But I think it will be good in the long run.
I'm moving to Somerville in a week.
I've been sick a lot, but I think I'm on the right track toward getting better.
I've been making a lot of changes in my life, which I think will be good ones. But it takes a long time to relax and adjust to those changes.

Dancing, professionally?
What grade are you teaching? The strange politics is a large part of what has kept me away from teaching, don't have much of a stomach for it. I still think there are few nobler professions, though, good for you.
I'm basically fine, also going towards equilibrium after a really trying period. Moved from Chicago to Columbus last year, and had various dramas -- nothing major, but they added up. Now doing various freelance editing jobs and generally feeling more on top of things than I have in a while. <knocks on wood, looks around worriedly...> ;-)

Mcat - things for me are pretty much the same as the last time we talked. Life here moves as slowly as it moves quickly for you.

Not dancing professionally, no! Working with teenagers at a ballet camp, and also at a theatre camp. A lot of fun! I learned so much.
I'm teaching in the physical education/movement and afterschool programs at a Montessori school, working with kids aged 3 to 12. I'll be adding some math tutoring on Fridays, and that will be great. I love math!
I'm headed off to bed now. Tomorrow is a long day for me. Good night!

Big black boots on a sexy woman is one of the greatest inventions ever.

I got some cowboy boots too, a while ago for a good price -
brown, therefore no teletubby fan.

You know, I've been contemplating cowboy boots, but haven't been able to pull the trigger. I know some good stores around here...
I often wear cowboy shirts and wranglers and **** like that, but I'm apprehensive about boots because it I think it would make me look like too much of a hipster asshole.
No one would ever mistake me for a cowboy.

Buy them Gargamel - cowboy boots are en vogue again.
Quote:
PARIS A taste of the American West has come to Paris shoe stores. Lurking among the pedestrian fare are a healthy scattering of bent heels and pointed toes once meant for an easy gallop or a fast roping. Straight from the factory or custom made, cowboy boots are there for the asking in shops all over Paris - and spreading across the rest of Europe.

Sorry, J_B, not really a serious question -- I just like saying
"Schmidt House".
In fact, I have been there, but way back in the early seventies.
I remember drinking a whole lot of beer, but I don't remember much else.
Were you and Mr. B at The Ohio State University?

No, George. We were working on a long term, long distance project together and met up in Columbus to show a potential customer the end result. The rest, as they say, is history.

Awesome boots! I bought mine (also simple and black and among my favorite boots) in Texas a few years ago, when I was down for a visit, before I even lived there. They've served me well.
