Well, I would grab a margarita and join you, but I have to pee in a cup tomorrow. Laughing (First time I have ever had to do THAT for a job!)

It's a sales position with a major furniture store. I did retail furniture store management before the event planning business, so I have the background for it.

Main thing is great benefits. Medical, dental, vision, life, PLUS very generous discounts! As many here know, the health insurance issue is important to us. That alone is like an $1800 / month benefit based on our self employed insurance premiums.

So, I have to pee in a cup tomorrow, then I start on the 15th of August so my start day will coincide with paydays. First month paid training and then commission only, but I can do that.

Oh, and did I mention a 38 hour work week? 10 paid personal days? Two weeks paid vacation?

Any idea the last time I had a paid vacation?

(Hint: About as long ago as when I last rode a bike) Laughing

Looked at the bike-trailers - they cost as much as the bicycle did on sale. Bailey and Cleo will just have to watch me ride up and down the block for a little while. I did notice that their harnesses will work well with the harness buckles in one of the trailers.

Bailey is not a friend of bicycles - he's been sniffing our new companion ever since I brought it up on the porch.

<the salesman recommended keeping it in the house, as it's a likely theft target, even from a gated and padlocked backyard>

just found a fancy dog trailer - I will definitely have to save up if we want this one

LOL! Now I'm picturing Cleo and Bailey perched at the window, paws on the back of the couch, heads left then right as they watch Mom go back and forth, back and forth.

Thanks, Gus!

Let me know when you're ready to replace that straw mat you've been calling a bed. That thing scratched me up something awful! Very Happy

Thank you, BBB and MinDSaY. I'm getting psyched. Didn't think I'd EVER go back to retail, but this will be good.

Eventually want to take the last few classes I need to have my degree in counseling and then work with troubled teens and families. This schedule should allow for a class or two here and there.

So someone other than me on this site thinks that movie's funny...nice.

Watch it a couple more times, then you'll be that annoying guy that uses movie quotes in normal conversation.

Big relief following my dog Maddy's back node surgery yesterday. No cancer!!! Hard to keep his belly band bandage on because he hurts. My other dog, Dolly, moped around and whimpered the whole time Maddy was at the vet hospital.

Squinney, that is such great news about your job! I've been out furniture looking lately and if I lived closer, I'd be sure to come to you so you could get the sales credit.

kicky and Slappy, I liked Napoleon Dynamite as well. It's one of those no brainers that you can just laugh at and not have to follow a plot. Every character in that movie played their roles so perfectly, it was like....real life! Razz

My son came to visit for the weekend. I loved that so much!!
