I woke up this morning to find that Sam, my partner had four cats lying above her head on her pillow. The only exposed part I saw of Sam was the top of her head. I even took pictures of her feline toupe.

Oh and this is silly but it really did make me smile for like hours -- the other day a guy said to me, "you look so much like that girl carpenter from Trading Spaces." "Amy Wynn?" "YEAH!"

Of all possible people for me to be compared to, she's got to be way up there. And at the end of it all (we talked for a while) (don't worry, he was gay) he said, "So, do you get that a lot?" :-D

I couldn't find a good regular picture of her -- the whole point is that she's not much of a glamor girl and the pics I can find are all glammed up. Here's one of each.

Back on topic, I smiled thinking of a battalion reunion that Sam and I are attending in Branson, Missouri this June. I've finally gotten in touch with army friends that I haven't seen in 37 years! We were all with the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam at the time. They know about the changes and one said "I wasn't gonna go, but since you and Sam are going, we'll be there." Just thinking about that makes me smile...broadly.

I've even gently flirted with a few on the phone. Gee, I wish that reunion was going on now.

Soz, I never thought about it before, but you do look like Amy Wynn.

I got a beta fish today for the office, named him "Sushi". He's funny, lots of dead pan humor.
