Intriquing post, Lash, you've gotta have a novel or two in that family of yours. Condolences, tho.

Nimh, that's so cool!! Are you getting excited?

Thanks, Thomas, nimh, soz...

He was a good old guy--but lived a quite cool, long life. Sad, but not traumatized.

Nimh--can I hold a dollar...? <tee>

I don't post here often but something struck me as funny today.

At the gym, huge guy, about 6'5" and pushing 300lbs. Little pink towel.

This morning on my way to work, passing the twins' house.

Girl twin, the snow shovelling addict, is on the front steps sobbing while dad buckles boy twin into his car seat. She can't get her umbrella to open. Dad rushes up, opens umbrella. Girl twin is all smiles.

That little girl just loves weather. Very Happy

Poking around in my computer tonight. Discovered something else that the computer wizards had been able to save from my old puter and tuck into this one.

My Bailey - the little blonde dog - guarding his best friend Scout's toy that he'd stolen - while Scout looks concerned. They had a wonderful relationship. I miss Scout, and seeing this pic of a happy night about 5 years ago made me smile.

Surely you walked up and called him a Nancy, right?

I just watched one of the funniest things ever on tv, the new South Park tonight.

Was writing this long "dear diary" post about a leisurely enough day today, but strayed for a minute to look up some extra info on the net. (That Lombok cafe, it used to be a shop of De ... Gruyter's, right?) I came across first this cute enough description of Utrecht by a German girl - pretty spot-on stuff! (Except that she misidentified and thus mischaracterised Wittevrouwen, she means Binnen-Wittevrouwen, Wittevrouwen itself is not so uppity). But then - what made me smile - I googled up the actual website of the Museum Cafe Lombok. Its got a picture of one of the pretty tile tableaus in there I'd described, but what's more fun is to click on the old film reels they put online. This footage from a wedding is very cute indeed - especially with the music track of Lou Bandy singing! ("create joy in life").

Getting out of bed this morning - to the most beautiful snowfall I think I have ever seen.

Each flake - gracefully floating to it's destination. Some of them softly grasping the branches of the trees as if to outline them with a paint brush.

I could have pressed my nose to the window - like the little girl that's still inside of me - and watched it for hours.

Smile still smiling

That's nice <smiles>. I think I'll be flying, tho! Although I hate flying and love travelling by train, so I'm still seriously considering it ...
