well, I got made up at Dasha's insistence. I became a fortune teller. Sort of. But, half way through the evening, Dasha disappeared and came back sans costume. So, I ditched my funky digs and my tarot cards for my jeans and t-shirt.

He attends as many of his son's games as possible, when he's not on a movie set. Don't know if that's an indication that he can talk to him but it sure is a sign of support.
-sigh-.... Denzel...
You DID it Dag!!!!!!!!!! That's so great. Shall we call you Dr. Dasha now?
Sure why not? That's who I am!
Yeah, the party was real nice - a kitchen table party, for that is the most comfortable place to gather around. I was sooo exhausted anyway, I was happy I didn't have to strain myself in any party conversation, just chat with friends. next time we will plan it that way from the beginning!
Smiling at Dagmaraka's success. Well done, and congratulations!

eoe, is Denzel as gorgeous in person as he is on film?
He was unshaven, very casually dressed, totally incognito. But you could spot those pearly whites from fifty yards.
Nice to see Joe Harris here...
Ossobuco;
Thank you for your kind words.

My niece's soccer practice made me laugh again today.

Oh my, sounds yummy!
To be honest...not really.
What happens at soccer practice?
oh, too bad. It's still yummy in my imagination. I like a rugged look on a guy.
The first big smile was when the niece went off to join the kids and coaches without me by her side - very mature for her. The kids are 6 years and under and this was the 4th class.
After they warm up and practice a bit, they play a little soccer game. They all run with the ball, but very few of them really know what to do with it. So, the 4 coaches are all yelling direction and such as the kids are sort of tripping over themselves and each other.
One kid is a little, hmmm, cerebral, perhaps. He's always looking off like he's thinking about something else. One kid would get the ball mid-field and just boot it to the goal, he never made the shot.
One team had 2 goals (one which my niece scored) and the other had none, so the coaches were doing their best to even up the score. They'd get the ball kick it to the lagging team and they'd just sort of watch it roll over to them. Then Noah, the soccer star on my niece's team, would haul butt to the ball and take off with it. The coaches gave the ball to the other team a half a dozen times before they ran out of time and had to call it quits.
Maybe it's one of those things you need to watch in person, it's hard to explain why it was so fun(ny).
Today my liver spoke to me.
It said, "I swear to Allah, if you ever put that much alcohol through me again in one day I will get up and walk out on you. Then you won't be able to handle even a sip of Captain Morgan and Diet Coke, nevermind 14 of them."
I smiled.
um, can't come up with a response to Slappy's story...sorry.
We are developing a 5-unit townhouse project on a portion of our property. It's scheduled to be finished in December. I got home on Sunday to find a firetruck and six or seven firefighters wandering around the place. A little unnerving. The captain came up, introduced himself and explained that he just wanted his people to get familiar with the building.
I got to sit in the firetruck and see the on-board computer system they use which gives them directions on how to get to any building in the county.
If the owner gives them permission (which I did) they also can scan in the details of any structure (where the bedrooms are likely to be, where the exterior doors are, where the gas/electric cutoffs are, etc.) Pretty amazing.
And he let me play, briefly, very briefly with the sirens and horns. -rjb-
What made me smile today?
Receiving a PM from hebba to celebrate our 2nd A2K anniversary. We both joined on the 2nd of November exactly 2 years ago. So today celebrating!
I've never seen a line so long at the polls in Stoneham as the one I saw this morning.
not really smile so much as

my eyes.
in 4 years brighton MA has regressed -- i filled out a paper ballot for the first time.
