Hey Dag, too cool! Congrats!
So who were there exactly? Did you get good feedback afterwards?
colleagues, professors (some from other departments), dept. chair. not many, maybe 20-25 people, but not a lay public, if you know what i mean - so i was terrified they'd go into methods or some sort of sumtin i'd know didley squat about, but apparently nobody knows anything about central europe and or theory of ethnic conflict through historic memory, sooooo, i did good. and the asked, and laughed, and talked, simply good.
hooray for dag. Congrats from all of us. Glad it went so well. Party hearty tonight and then get to the kitchen thing. --rjb-
Congratulations, dag! Well done!
Go celebrate!
Dag~
Adding my congratulations.
(The only thing I know about Central Europe is to stay away from that plum vodka.)
Slivovica, which Peruvians know at Pisco. I hate it myself, hic, it is despicable, hic, but am a Slovak, hic, so must drink.
Your patriotism is most commendable. One of my former confreres was from (then) Czechoslovakia and when his father came over to visit he brought along some of that slavic moonshine - weapons grade. Wild stuff.

Then drink! Drink, my little Slovakian friend. Dance! Wear some of those colored dresses and spin in circles.
That's what I'm doing right now.
Glad you are over that bump. One a/hole with a methodology penchant can throw off a good idea aborning.
Excellent, carry on!
damn good night out, thanks Dag!
right on! thank YOU! i am exhausted but in high spirit!

uh-oh. demolition crew is here. i need more sleep. going to work...to sleep! that is kinda funny.
I'm smiling at Dag's success!
Standing on the corner of Stuart & Boylston, cheering as the Red Sox parade rolls by.
Just got back to this thread and have been reading of dagmaraka's success.
BRAVO!
OLE'!
RIGHT ON!
Today I smiled while on Morehouse College campus for their Homecoming celebration. Even got a couple of shots of Denzel on the sidelines. His son is on the team.
We had a ball!!
What a load to carry, being son of Denzel. I've always like Denzel, presume he can actually talk with his son, hope so.
We had planned a party at my house for a while. Very few people responded to the invite and we had no idea how many would come. Dasha and I bought food and wine (she bought most of it) and prepared food together as we decorated ourselves for the psuedo-halloween party. At one point we thought maybe no one was coming. Then one person showed. Then one more person did and then another. We ended up with a 5-person party. It was one of the best parties ever.
