Florida school bans Disney movie on civil rights activist because a parent didn't want her child to learn hatred

Earlier this month, the parent wouldn't allow her child to watch the 1998 Disney movie "Ruby Bridges," which tells the real-life story of a 6-year-old girl who was among the first Black students to attend Louisiana public schools in 1960.

Photos from the time showing white mobs hurling insults and threats at the young Black girl have been studied in history lessons for decades, along with other examples of white communities protesting against Black students integrating schools across the U.S. South in the 1960s.

The above is an example of real fascism taking hold of our red states, led by DeSantis in FL.

And she missed to comment, too, about the Florida school which deemed Michelangelo's "David" as porno. (In the Nazi regime, all works of art and cultural trends that could not be reconciled with the Fascists' understanding of art and ideal of beauty were considered Entartete Kunst ("degenerate art").

I don't understand her silence on the matter. I admit I am focused on it to say the least, but it deeply offends me. Furthermore, I don't want to live in a country where what we read and say and do is controlled by one group of people. Schools are a place of learning which kids can get nowhere else, and they are destroying it.

She's is not understandable only where one assumes she is operating here honestly and with integrity.

Aside from the occasional "I hate Trump" claims, her targets are always government institutions (deep state! corruption! elites!) and the Democratic Party and liberals. It's a far right package with a smattering of window dressing.

Try to find examples of her complaining about the Federalist Society or the purposeful stacking of the Supreme Court (and courts below) with far right judges. It will be a fruitless search. Likewise if you were to look for any complaints about red states presently moving to restrict voters likely to vote for Dem candidates or moving to further gerrymander districts. Have you seen her suggesting that accounts of Mitch McConnell's recent injury is suspicious and that a cover up (perhaps of a homosexual triste) is possible and why are the ambulance drivers not telling us what they know?!

I'm not sure who Pete is but for his sake, please recognize obvious patterns of bad faith.

And for that matter, while her complaints regarding mainstream news media are constant, ask yourselves if you've ever seen her mount such criticisms of Rush Limbaugh or Fox or Newsmax or the New York Post.

I’ve spoken on this subject frequently—in the past when I saw it coming. It’s one of the many reasons I left teaching because I’d be censored and fired anyway.

But since you people only criticize Republicans while your addled, crooked pervert in chief works as hard as he can to start WWIII, I focus on him.

His own daughter says he forced her to shower with him. And you support him.
He is by far in every way the worst president we’ve ever had—and that is a LOW BAR.
I don’t support DeSantis or his army of education/ teacher haters.
