@snood,
Turns out you are right. I did say that. While I was scouring my posts, it looks like you guys were faster than I was in finding it. (https://able2know.org/topic/553323-2#post-7073732)

I did not remember writing that but your memory is better than mine.

So, to answer your question, bitter.

@snood,
Many of us might have cried happy tears so they might have tasted somewhat bitter to him.

@snood,
Are you at all surprised that he doesn’t have the guts to stand by his own words?

When have any of them done that?

It’s like dealing with a petulant toddler covered in chocolate denying they’ve been at the cake.

He should be relieved that the election was as close as it was. The gloating would have been much more painful.

@izzythepush,
Taking him at his word, he did own up to saying the words once he found it. But there was no reason to insult snood and basically call him a liar. He should have said, I don't recall saying that. I think I would have remembered making such a statement, it was memorable. Thankfully wrong.

@revelette3,
We never got on, but since Trump has been looking defeated he has been absolutely vile throwing out insults and innuendos left right and centre.

@izzythepush,
I have him and others on ignore. But illogically I peek sometimes if there are replies I am interested in.

@revelette3,
I think we all do, there’s only two I never read at all, Coldjoint and Fel, others I occasionally peek.

@izzythepush,
fel=Lovey????.

I cant ignore him/her. Its such a simple-minded liar that even his "posse" catches him up frequently.

@farmerman,
Yes. I don’t bother with either of them, they’re too disgusting for words.

@oralloy,
Quote:

One reason why progressives are unworthy of respect is the way they refuse to graciously accept their election losses.

Nonsense. The candidate in my state graciously conceded to the Republican victor.
Quote:
That is compounded by the way progressives demand instant concession and acceptance of the result when they think they even might be winning (before it is even clear yet).

Nonsense. Trump did the exact same thing, early Wednesday morning.
Quote:
Another reason why progressives are unworthy of respect is the way they always[???] rely on childish name-calling.

Nonsense. The behavior of liberals and conservatives is not that different with respect to name-calling. Some do and some don't.
Quote:
Another reason why progressives are unworthy of respect is their endless attempts to violate people's civil liberties for no reason other than their own sadistic pleasure.

Nonsense. The failure to update the 200 year old concept of the "militia" has inadvertently led to the deaths of innocent people at the hands of armed fanatics and concern about public safety is a sufficient reason to alter firearms laws. It has nothing to do with sadism or pleasure.
Quote:
Another reason why progressives are unworthy of respect is the way they always deny reality and never even try to back up their claims.

Nonsense. Liberals and progressives can be seen backing up their claims in nearly every thread, if not every post.
Quote:
Another reason why progressives are unworthy of respect is the way they cheat in elections.

Nonsense. Election officials flatly declare that the election ‘was the most secure in American history.’
Quote:
For that matter look at the way bobsal mass-downvotes conservative posts on a2k (not an election, but voting is involved).

Nonsense. bobsal hasn't been on A2K for weeks. One person doesn't get to represent an entire class of people. Suspicious down-voting still occurs and it is directed at critics of Trump.
Quote:
Another reason why progressives are unworthy of respect is all the witch hunts that they wage against people who disagree with their demented ideology.

Nonsense. Progressives didn't initiate the Whitewater or Benghazi investigations, nor did they pitch the "birther" or "QAnon" conspiracies.

That was an adult move on McG's part, Rev. No one ever hurt his/her ethical standings by owning up to a mistake.

In several years of dealing with McG on this forum, I have gleaned no information about him - no reason - to think he deserves to be extended the benefit of that doubt.

Quite the opposite is true.

Just look at the original needlessly nasty and spiteful statement he made about maybe showing back up here just to drink the tears of the defeated. That was said specifically to inflict hurt. That it was unprovoked and so gratuitous is what especially made it catch my attention. That’s why I was determined to remember to remind him and everyone else he said it.

I actually was shocked that he tried to claim he didn’t remember it - in fact he called me dumb for accusing him of it and said that someone else had said it.

Who among us says so many unprovoked nasty things that we completely forget some of them - so many that we can’t keep track?

Nobody.

He said it, he knew he said it, and he must have had some inkling of how nasty and petty it would make him look if everyone knew he said it. That’s why he denied it.

No, absolutely nothing wrong with making a mistake and definitely admirable to admit one.

This was not a mistake. It was a nasty statement and then a bold faced lie to try to cover it up.

And that’s all it was.

Am I? If it was written on the forum, what good would lying about it do? Someone else had recently talked about tasting the tears of someone or another and I thought he was referring to that post.

You aren't going to upset me because I forgot a post I made. I made it, I forgot it, now I admitted to it. I'm sorry that gets you so hot and bothered.
