@engineer,
That's why I thought a Biden entry would necessitate a Clinton exit. He takes from her. Bernie wins.

If Clinton leaves it will be because either she is on charges and thus cant go forwards or she is taking herself and her marbles home in a snit. She is not going to do it for either the good of the party or the good of the nation.

Oh, what you guys are looking for is a politician who is going to worry more about the good of the people than what is good for self and family.

I see.

Well...good luck with that!

You only get to speak for you. A reality that you clearly are too dense to understand.

Vice President Joe Biden received President Barack Obama's "blessing" to make a 2016 bid for the White House, according to a senior Democrat.

But that's if Biden chooses to run -- the decision is his. While he doesn't need the President's permission, of course, a potential presidential candidacy was among the topics of their lunch Monday at the White House. The President made clear he would not stand in his way or counsel him against a run, the senior Democrat said.

Hillary's response was "I paid my dues as your Sec State Lackey and this is how you pay me back? ****. YOU!".

@glitterbag,
I dont know that dismissive humor has the power that it used to, it is very over used now. Especially coming from you, a person who has displayed a lot of hostility and ignorance around here. You might consider trying something else.

It would be interesting to see how much he takes from her. If Clinton shows strongly in the run up to Iowa and New Hampshire, I think Biden calls it and Clinton sails home. Only if the lukewarm Clinton supports go to Biden in numbers does Sanders win. The key is keeping Sanders in the race long enough that people see him as a real possibility. That could drive a real Democratic primary season.

Sanders might leave? He strikes me as the Ross Perot/Ralph Nader type, which means that he will have to be dragged off. He is not even a D, why should he care about the party? They have mostly ignored him for decades, I dont know that there is any good will there. And if the R's put up trump forget about it, he would probably prefer Trump to either Hillary or Biden anyways, at least there would be a chance of getting what he wants after Trump blows up the Washington elite if he can make a good enough argument. Trump cares more about progress than political ideology, that much is clear. Sanders would totally grove on a Washington where the best ideas with the best evidence win. That will not happen on Clintons or Biddens watch.

White House praises Vice President Biden’s ‘aptitude’ for presidency
Source: Reuters

The White House on Monday praised the political acumen and experience of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, who is considering whether to run for president in the November 2016 election.

President Barack Obama “has indicated his view that the decision that he made seven years ago now to add Joe Biden to the ticket as his running mate was the smartest decision he had ever made in politics,” White House spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters at a briefing.

“I think that should give you some sense of the president’s view of Vice President Biden’s aptitude for the top job,” Earnest said.

@hawkeye10,
The things you excel at are bloviating, boorishness, preaching, picking your nose and flicking boogers, and spinning on your thumb.

Get the **** over yourself. We certainly have.

Draft Biden group circulates pro-Joe memo to DNC members
Source: Politico

Ahead of the Democratic National Committee summer meeting in Minneapolis later this week, the Draft Biden campaign is circulating a memo to DNC members and party leaders, asking them to keep an open mind about a possible presidential run for Joe Biden.

In the two-page memo, titled, “The Case for Joe Biden,” a senior adviser to the group, Josh Alcorn, writes, “Our ask for you today is not financial: we are asking you to keep an open mind and consider a Biden candidacy. Our country, the Democratic Party, and yes, the Vice President deserves nothing less. The more you consider it, the more sense it makes.”

The letter was sent five days before all five declared Democratic presidential candidates are set to make their case to party leaders and superdelegates at the DNC gathering. Hillary Clinton is speaking at the meeting on Friday before heading back to the Hamptons, where she has been vacationing and attending fundraisers. Biden is not scheduled to attend the meeting.

Clinton supporters stressed the importance of the audience for the Democratic front-runner, who in 2008 won the popular vote but did not win enough delegates to win her party’s nomination.
