So you consider going after trump's clear sedition a witch hunt. Pathetic.

Standing up to progressive bullies is hardly sedition.

No, it isn't, but it's based on ignorance. What "progressive bullying" can you identify?

Perhaps so.

The January 6 protesters were protesting what they believe was Democratic cheating.

I've not done any assessment of whether their belief is correct or not. However I've seen people claim that their beliefs are in error.

@oralloy,
Your thinking here isn't clear. Are you saying, as you appear to be, that holding the rioters and insurrectionists to account for their violent illegal actions and Trump's incitement are "progressive bullying"and a "Progressive witch hunt"? If you're not, where's the bullying and the witch hunt?

No. I am referring to Mr. Trump's and the protesters' actions during the protest as standing up to bullies.

"Protesters standing up to bullies" is not referring to any subsequent action after the protest was over.

MontereyJack wrote:
and a "Progressive witch hunt"?

Yes. I am referring to post-protest lynching of Mr. Trump as a witch hunt.

It isn't clear to me yet what action is being taken against the peaceful protesters. I may in the future refer to that as a witch hunt as well.

@oralloy,
That's nonsense. there was no progressive witch hunt. Never has been. There was a violent murderous insurrection meant to install the loser of the election as president in an ateempted coup d'etat. That was not a "protest". Trump had tried for a year to bully the country to accept his baseless lies and falseclaims about the election to make him the winner isn spite of denals of his cl narrative by republican election officials and republican judges who rejected 60 of his frivolous lawsuits. The bullying was done by trump and the violent mob he incited.

Wrong. When you use the law as a weapon to harm people that you don't agree with, that's a witch hunt.

Don't be silly. Protesters standing up to progressive bullies is neither an insurrection nor a coup.

Yes it was.

Progressives sure don't like it when people stand up to them and fight back against their tyranny.

Law & Crime logo‘Mateo Q’ Accused of Attacking National Guardsmen at Capitol. His Tweets Are Exactly What You Would Expect.

The FBI arrested a man in Illinois on Tuesday whom they say was recorded in a TikTok video attacking National Guardsmen as they were “attempting to hold the line with riot shields” on Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol. The FBI said that two witnesses, over the span of five days, came forward and identified Mathew Capsel (born in 1993) as a Capitol rioter, submitting screenshots of his “Mateo Q Capsel” Facebook profile.

“Witness 1 reported that they were a former neighbor of CAPSEL and that CAPSEL was ‘known to be violent,'” the FBI affidavit said. “On or about January 13, 2020, the FBI received a tip from Witness 2 who submitted screenshots of Facebook posts by ‘Mateo Q Capsel’ stating that they are friends on social media with CAPSEL and that CAPSEL ‘was at Capitol building when the protesters and rioters got on the building before entering’ and had video of this on his Facebook page.”

He didn't need to — people were eager to vote against Trump.

Yeah he has. Since assuming the office last week.

But you are not using the law to prosecute wrongdoing.

You are using the law to prosecute people that you don't agree with.

@oralloy,
Trump has always been the one doing the bullying, and even if someone had been bullying him, which is ludicrous, since he had all the power (which he flagrantly misused) that doesn't somehow excuse him and his rabid followers committing sedition and insurrection. As usual you ignore reality.
