@revelette3,
There’s always some people who’ll be miserable no matter what.

Biden hasn’t even taken office yet, let’s not rush to judgement. It’s customary to look at the first hundred days, that would give him to mid May 2019.

The social justice protest (is that the right term?) after more senseless deaths of black men by the police was a uniting protest of all democrats and independents, blacks, white, brown, moderate, leftist progressive and left leaning independents came out in support of the protest.

You know, if they don't want police officers to defend themselves against them, they could always stop trying to murder police officers.

The big protest of 2020 was sparked by the murder of George Floyd. He was not trying to murder any police; in fact, all of the video footage from before he was held down and suffocated, from officers’ body cams and cell phone videos, showed he wasn’t even resisting. This was simply a police officer deciding to take a black man’s life.

I can name a dozen other cases easily where police took the lives of black people that were posing no threat to them.

None of these things fit your profane narrative that “blacks want to rape and murder whites”.

The only reason you insist on repeating this vile lie is that you are an brazenly open, unrepentant racist.

And you are the “better” of no one who posts on this forum.

I haven't seen protests from the more rabid progressive sct yet, about specific Biden picks, have you? Not that I don't expect there to be some. So far all I've seen is arguments against potential picks, like Rham Emanuel.

Young voters helped propel Biden to victory. Now they’re pushing for a more progressive Democratic Party

AOC: "Extremely important" that Biden offer Bernie Sanders a Cabinet position

I doubt today made them very happy, but I was satisfied with Biden picks so far.

@revelette3,
Dr Yellin i probably the single reason that the S&P an DOW are in record territory.

OH well, we shpuld also thank Trump for graciously "stepping aside" via peaceful transition .

@revelette3,
I think it would be extremely difficult for Biden to keep the most rabid “progressives” happy.

@snood,
I think the word you are looking for is impossible. The ultralibs want everything they want yesterday. Biden trying to fix the trump disaster is going to piss them off because it docent fit their Bernie agenfa.

Dow tops 30,000 for the first time ever as Biden transition begins

Investors have a lot to be thankful for this holiday-shortened week — including the Dow passing
the 30,000 milestone for the first time as stocks posted solid gains Tuesday to extend Monday's
rally.

The Dow was up more than 450 points, or 1.5%, in late afternoon trading. The blue chip index
hit a new all-time high in the process, finally topping the 30,000 mark. The Dow is now up more
than 5% in 2020.

The latest catalyst: It appears that a formal transition from Trump to President-elect Biden is
finally underway...

I honestly think Bernie's heart is in the right place. I also think AOC's in that same place.

However, I think putting Bernie in a cabinet position would be a major mistake for Biden. Bernie is already having an impact on Democratic Party thinking. The people elected Biden and Biden's agenda. At least, the people who were not simply voting for ANYONE BUT TRUMP did. At this point, I prefer to take it at Biden's pace.

@snood,
Can you say “Recess Appointment” or “Acting Treasury Secretary”.

Good for the goose...

@maporsche,
Assuming that the Republicans hold the Senate, they can prevent recess appointments by never going into recess.

Good for the goose indeed.

@oralloy,
You forgot the famous “Acting Treasury Secretary”.

Trump spent some time on TV, and he sure brought in a lot of actors with him. Who would’ve thought such a thing was allowed?

@maporsche,
Maybe it's not allowed. Has the Supreme Court given this practice their seal of approval?

@oralloy,
Not sure; maybe we’ll find out some time in 2023 if/after a case makes it to the SC and if they choose to take it.

A couple solid years of Acting appts could make a lot happen though.

@oralloy,
If the SC strikes down that particular “feature” of the Trump legacy, I won’t be upset though.

I hope to permanently strike down many things that Trump got away with. One of the primary goals of all future administrations should be to fix the problems identified during Trump’s. Just about everything the clown-president has done needs to be expunged (and mostly will be).

They won't be undoing Mr. Trump's protections for the Second Amendment. Those are here to stay.

A lot that would be automatically undone as soon as the Supreme Court ruled their positions invalid.

Barack Obama tried making recess appointments when Congress wasn't in recess, and some of his administration's work was undone as soon as the Supreme Court ruled unanimously that he had no power to do that.

It was a minor hiccup as he was able to have the same work redone with legitimate appointees. But still, the illegitimate appointees were a dead end for him. He would have achieved just as much had he waited until he had legitimate appointees before doing the work.
