Believe it or not yes.
There is a substance called 101E you can get somewhere (search for it online), which is essentially an antibiotic. In three hours the acne is gone.
But there is a catch... Just like all antibiotics the bacteria become resistant (about 4 weeks for this) and the product becomes useless.
(So use it wisely etc.)
Someone should do some research into a reliable cure, using bacteriophage or something (which are effectively biological anti-bacterial agents, and thus evolve with the bacteria - therefore no resistance problems). There is a hell of a lot of money that could be made, i mean, they could charge what they want!

it's my belief that acne is a confidence/lifestyle issue.

Do you spend a lot of time on the computer? Try going out more, socialising, etc - if you're happy and involved in something you don't really worry too much about your face and acne seems to go away.

Try leaving your face alone for a period of time - don't even wash it that often, as its the internal not external moisture that counts - moisturising is always advisable though.

I've used sulfur based products, which seem less harsh than benzol peroxide or other acid based treatments, and they work fine. I'd invest in a good exfoliator and a good mask that's made of some type of mud and/or sulfur combo.

acne
ive had acne since middle school.....im a junior in high school now ....my frens (then and now) all have perfect skin and they dont use any medication....

anywayz are there daily household products (mayb food to put on ur face...haha) that can help wid the acne? can anyone be specific about what brand of soap to use to cleanse your face?

Embarrassed i havent been paying attention to all this stuff until now...i hate my red blemishes especially....my face wasnt red until this one time i tried one of the acne products from tv (neutrogena*) and i burned my face from using it too often as well as from washing my face all the time.....a bit of scarring 2 over the years.....ive been covering up the redness with Covergirl foundation (my face looks paler).....what do you do with redness in the face? i not so much concerned with the white & black heads than i am with the blemishes Exclamation Question

rraze, that is nonsense. That is rubbish and nonsense. Im afraid you dont know what your talking about. Some people however believe that impact sports are very good for acne, coz it releases anger n frustration.

Royaldan,
Have you gone to see a dermatologist?
If you have, and have had poor results, I'm sorry for asking yet again. Laughing

I never had acne.....until now. I'm in my late 20's already! Laughing There are so many things which can affect the skin. Sometimes, you need to go pro. It's your best chance.

royaldan thats rather in-your-face mate. Anyhoo a 5% Benzoyl Perozide (FIVE% only) lotion applied every day is da way 2 go. (wont cure it though, someone needs to work on a cure for that 2)

well, it's just a stage and it will go away.

however, from home remedies, believe it or not, toothpaste helps. but probably not for the redness, just for the bigger bumps.

dermatologist can help to lessen the redness temporarily (few weeks) with liquid nitrogen - it helped me quite a bit as i recall, though i've only been once.
and of course, chamomile and agrimony tea - dip a cotton ball in, and sponge the areas repeatedly - as long as you like. if you study or read, just have a cup handy and do it every five or ten minutes for as long as you're willing.
also, steam helps. if you boil agrimony or chamomile, put a towel over your head, your head above the steaming pot and endure the steam for 10-15 minutes. then wash with lukewarm water, treat with tea sponging again...

all these little techniques everyone is coming up with on this forum isnt any type of solution..most of these dont work and if they do they are temorary..the only way to get rid of acne is by going to a dermatologist. worst case scenario they put u on acutane and its cured within 5 months. so my advice is to find a good dermatologist and dont mess around with these little tricks.

I never had acne until I turned 23 I am now 27 and I still have it. And its bad, I have scars. Vitamin E works well for those. I also get facials once a month.

vitamin E oil?..i wouldnt use that..the oil of your skin is what gives u the acne..u need something to dry out ur skin..i just went to the dermatologist this week and he gave me a prescription but also told me to use a soap called cetaphil..it dries out ur skin real well..so i would stay away from the oils but thats just me.

Well, Roy should probably go to the Dermatologist as well. Everyones skin is different, mine said that I wasnt getting enough moisture therefore my skin was overproducing natural oils, thus, causing acne. Either way the oil does get rid of scars. Also, get your fill of water each day.

how do i get rid of acne?
hey,
I just turned 18 last week and im really getting tired of acne.. All my friends complain when they get one small, hardly visible pimple on their face, and make me feel like such a loser. i have a bad habit of touching my pimples and i usually peel em off making them bleed..so now i have marks all over my face.. I have tried clearsil, neutrogina, and different masks and peels but nothing works.
Anybody has any suggestions for me??
