Well, i don't exactly hide. I just fall asleep. It's been a few years since I've been able to stay awake til midnight. I used to give rather large wonderful parties - once had over 150 guests. A guy i knew wanted a party, but had no friends. I agreed to set up the party and host it, if he paid for the hall. It worked. I just had to get a small group of friends to agree to go to his place for a dinner in advance of the big do. It was a good party. Oddly, he is in none of the photos of the dinner or the big party.

New Year's 1999 going into 2000, I spent the evening with a neighbour I had 2 things in common with. We both like golf, and we both like men. We rented 4 golf movies and lay on the sofas - he had the big one. I woke up twice. Once when the midnight fireworks boomed, and then again around 2 a.m. The living room was tidy. The videos were re-wound. The neighbour was gone, door locked behind him. I think I made it to 10:30 that year.

I used to be a wildish thing. <sigh>

Steissd, I'll add my best wishes and hopes for a safe return to all the others.

My problem with remembering past parties is, if I have more than three drinks, I tend to go to sleep; alcohol hits me almost immediately. Can't tell you how many parties I've slept through, although a few times I was awakened in the nicest possible way. Embarrassed

Mikey, for you I will make my Alice B. Toklas brownies. Actually, that's a good idea, at least I can stay awake a little longer.

You pick the music, I get the first dance.

Motrin is painkiller ... i.e. ... hangover remedy. Pueo, try tomato juice ... it really works (not that I would know).

Legions? The wabbit is a wild one! If they work for you that's fine. Tomato juice really does help.

Next time you join the Legion, give it a try. Let me know if it works for you.

Happy New Years to All!!
