@Walter Hinteler,
Re: Walter's cartoon.

Isn't that what happened in Germany some 75 years ago?

Sorry, besides my devotion to free form spelling, my "A" key Is acting up.

WHAT I MEANT WAS.

The problem with the teabaggers is that they are playing with gasoline and don't know it. A Rep(resentative--GOP of course) even stated that default would be "cleansing for our economy".

You hadn't commented on the mini default. I assume you stipulate that it was an economic fact and that you're unable to fathom the lessons of history

@Finn dAbuzz,
Yeah, Finn, after all is said and done, you are all knowing. The tea baggers are a danger to our nation. Their policies are asinine. The only thing that exceeds your arrogance is your nasty demeanor.

@IRFRANK,
Hey frank, I appreciate that criticism of me in this forum is likely to garner "Atta Boys," from your confreres, but such ad hominem arguments should be avoided by anyone who thinks they are, at least, intellectually competent.

If you have any brain juice, you'll tell me how I am wrong, not that I am a poo poo head.

But I guess this is the Buddhist Way.

@farmerman,
Oh, so that's what you mean't.

Yes, there were a few fire-brands who didn't appreciate what the ultimate outcome of their action might be.

So?

This has never happened with Liberals?

The fire-brands didn't carry the day, did they?

I know you would like to assert that because they tried, all conservatives (tea-baggers) must be denounced, but that is a specious argument.

Ya think, that with all the money that the Koch's had invested in TEddy that theyd have sent him to debate school.
I don't think "firebrand" would be the exact choice of words that describe him.

That's right, you need to get a grip. The Nazis were dismissed as being all bluster in the 1930s and look what happened.

The Tea Party and the Nazis:
Like marching with firearms.
Like waving flags.
Talk about reclaiming their county.
Became prominent after an economic collapse.
Hate with a passion anything remotely Socialist.
Are fiercely anti-immigrant.

In order to stop history repeating itself one needs to remain vigilant.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I was feeling bad until you brought religion into it. That's classy.

So you think all this was just a political exercise and played out as expected or planned. With no regard for the billions it cost the country. The GOP and the tea party will suffer from this debacle.

I'm done with you. I am not interested in a battle of wit and slander with you. You are much too experienced for me.

You are right, this is not the Buddhist way. It's not real intellectual either.

I missed quite a few out actually, the main one being that most of the hatred aimed at Obama is because he's black.
