Oops, Mrs. cav cannot make it for sure. Prior commitments, but she sends regards to one and all.

Please, please think of me as you're drinking your green tea--or anything else. If they have chocolate dipped fortune cookies, put a few extras in your purse, will you?

Bethie, why not wear one of your many hats????? With your poofity hair and a striking hat, you would be recognizable to any a2ker. Do you have any colorful shoes (silly me, I know you do).

How I wish we could be there. Our budget is pretty much shot after San Francisco. One of these days...

Beth, Fabulous - I'll find you!

Cav, I'll be *despair* if you don't come, but I sure do understand if you can't make it (I'm lying! come!)

Diane, I haven't enjoyed the pleasure of an exchange in posts yet, but I'll certainly raise my cup..."To Diane! Who wishes she were here for Beth's poofity hair and chocolate cookies!" (honest to Gawd, I will!)

Food's in the oven, working late, just to try to make it.

Joeblow, if you've never been to an a2k gathering before, be prepared for a wonderful time with a group of people you could never find elsewhere.

ENJOY!!!!

I'm here to confirm everything Diane said about A2Kers. I even got to meet cav (chef extra-ordinaire) and his lovely wife when we were in Toronto last August, so I can vouch for them too! Please plan another Toronto Gathering for some time next year; maybe more of us can make it.

Thinking, how far is Toronto from Chicago? Too much of a drive for a west coast person, but maybe one could fly to both places?? I haven't been back to my favorite childhood place (Evanston, Illinois) in way too long and my childhood pals would meet me, they say, if I ever showed up.

Ah, well, I need to be quiet and earn some money.

The wench!

ossoB - if I can drive from Toronto to Madison, Wisconsin for a get-together (driving through Chicago on our way back), you can most definitely do the little flight! Actually for anyone who has a bit of time, the train trip between Toronto and Chicago is rawther nice.

A hat? hmmmmm ... it is quite sunny, so I probably will have a hat. But I don't usually wear hats in restaurants. O.K., so I should have a knapsack and a hat with me.

oooooooooooooooooh, the excitement (i'm going to have to wear my "Depends"!! Rolling Eyes)

I'm on wheels; so i'll be wearing my red cycling helmet (could be a bit of a 'giveaway') - once at Kim Hoa, we could take turns wearing/waving it, until all appear.

[that should help all the 'closet' latecomers, who have not yet 'declared', but planned to come incognito!]

If I make it, I'll be the frazzled looking one with the shaggy hair.

i like that

if JoeBlow had been here at Christmas, I'd wear something that would make me, the deerhuahua, easily recognizable - the antlers I wore to the Madison get-together!

yikes

if i were JoeBlow, I'd be getting nervous - thinking of approaching a group with poofity hair, shaggy hair, a biking helmet worn in a restaurant, and a lovely young woman with a walker. Shocked

Does Wenchie really have a walker, or is she just yanking our collective chain?
