Osso, haha.....popsicles...in Canada? That's a very dear image you conjure up...I hope if you do ever get here you'll have one for old times sake.

Heheh Margo...OK! I'm casting my votes repeatedly. I started early and I wont stop until Osso buys me a popsicle.

Red please. Or grape.

Hey...I'm probably not in town then 'cause I booked the 2nd as a vacation day. Waiting to hear if mrjoeblow can book it, too.

I KNOW I voted early (and often - thanks Margo!), but it didn't look to be happening and, er, well, time waits for no man!

So. Next time!

(sorry)

don't kick my ass

This is a q for cav. The San Jose Merc has an article today on Thomas Keller, owner of the French Laundry in Yountville, and Per Se in New York. Reservations must be made two months ahead, and seats are usually gone by mid-morning. His prix fixe is $125 for the vegetarian, the five-course tasting menu is $135, and $150 for the chef's nine-course tasting menu. In the first year, his profit was $17 or .35c per share. His gross income is now $47 million. Have you heard of Keller? He's the only chef to win back-to-back James Beard Foundation Best Chef awards. Have you ever heard of this award? Lucy and I will make our reservation when I hit 70. Wink
