Week #16 In Review...
12-4...Edgar
11-5...Cowdoc, Kolyo, Tico, Lightening22
10-6...Coastalrat, Johnboy, ehBeth, Miz Cowdoc, Panzade, AndyD, best ESPN guy
9-7...Ragman, Mysteryman, McGentrix
8-8...Rhys, George, Osso
7-9...JPB, worst ESPN dud.

As a group we got 62% of our picks correct. About average for us.

In the Fantasy Football thing, Cyclo whipped me badly to win the playoff championship. Rhys beat George to claim 3rd place, McGentrix beat Osso for 5th and Mysteryman won versus Tico for 7th.

7) Kolyo (148)
7) Tico (148)

9) Lightening22 (146)

15) AndyD (136)
15) Edgar (136)

17) Mysteryman (130) *
18) McGentrix (129)

* ehBeth and Mysteryman didn't make picks one week. My intention was to not penalize them for that. The standings above are based on their number of games correctly picked. Standings should be based on correct picks as a percentage of total picks.

The Best ESPN guy has 160 while the worst has 143.

@CowDoc,
Good morning to Mr and Mis Cowdoc.
I usually wake up around 5 am. NPR's Morning Edition is on from 5-7 and repeats from 7-9. I have it on but I don't listen too closely, knowing that the stories will be on again.
In my family, if someone suddenly shivered - for no apparent reason - the explanation was that "a goose had walked over your grave."
Nowadays, the goose moment happens when I am reading and a word on the page happens to appear at the same time that it is spoken on the radio.
So, I happened to be on this thread or perhaps I was checking out the weather in Salmon, ID. In the background was a story on NPR about a controversial issue in Idaho involving the culling of coyotes and wolves...near, the reporter said, Salmon.

@realjohnboy,
Merry Xmas and/or happy holidays to all.

I don't mean to bring anyone down on the holidays....but this is what is going on for me currently:

I'll not be online for about a week or so as I enter the VA hospital (in-patient) for the treating this recently diagnosed but quite uncommon form of lymphoma (mantle cell). The prognosis is pretty good for me to beat this, but it'll be a few months before I know if we're winning the battle. This VA hospital is excellent and has nothing but caring excellent practitioners and great cancer center.

FWIW, this type of cancer is of the lymph system...which travels everywhere in the body. It doesn't have the same type of categorization ..such as staging (I, II, III and IV). In my case is fairly advanced as far it's spread...lymph glands of neck, groin, etc. all that being said, I feel healthy and energetic and full of appetite for everything.

Each month starting 12/27, they'll be giving my 2 rounds of chemo over a 2 day span. Then they'll repeat it a month later for 4-5 months, if needed. The first round I'll be in for 5-7 days including observation to watch for (expected side effects). Afterward, the first time, it'll be only 2 days of out-patient treatment.

Wish me luck.

Anyhow, after that drama, here's my un-dramatic picks.
