@realjohnboy,
I'm fine the way it is (saves me making bad late choices sometimes), but if all want it changed, I don't mind.

I've what I'm sure is a stupid question on the a2k fantasy football pages - what are the numbers in red on the League page?

Go, teams. Score. 3.5 points more in total and I will win the week!
I am so excited.
Alas, they are putting me to bed for the night so I won't find out until tomorrow.

They are the projected (or now, final) scores for each team -- They are red if it is lower than the score that team was projected to make before the week started. They are green if the projected (or final) score is higher than the original projected score.

@Ticomaya,
Aha! Thank you. I was trying to tie it to whether or not the persons with the red numbers had all the players finish, but of course that didn't work.

We did not have a very good week as a group, getting just 56% of our picks right. The Green Bay, St Louis and Denver games went in our favor but we got hurt by San Diego and Atlanta. So it goes.
Rhys holds on to 1st but is now leading Kolyo by only 2 games. Rhys will, of course, pick NE over NO. It will be interesting to see Kolyo's choices.
Johnboy and Tico advanced in the standing by 4 and 3 places, respectively. Lightening slumped from 9th to 14th. Panzade slipped by 4.

I just don't understand why people feel obliged to pick their favourite team in pools every week. I'm a New England fan, and love picking against New England when Rhys is picking for them. It's like hedging. I feel like I have $100 at stake in a New England game, and when they lose I always feel $100 poorer. When I'm matched against Rhys (or against the field) over a particular game I feel like I've got maybe $50 at stake in that regard. So when New England loses and I've picked against them in the pool, it's not so bad. It feels like I've only lost $50, so to speak. And I plan to hedge again this week.

@Kolyo,
I get it. I amazed that I do...but it makes sense.

Speaking of people that stand Pats, I read that Gronk might be returning in this game.

@Ragman,
I've had Gronk on my fantasy team since the draft. I have waited, somewhat patiently, for him to play.

That's all fine and dandy.

But I pick the Cardinals BECAUSE THEY'RE GOING TO WIN!

I feel outrage and anger tonight. A gang of fanatical fans gathered at Matt Schaub's house to harass both him and his family. He had to call NFL security, who called the police. Nobody was arrested. I have called for his replacement myself, but these fans carry their disappointment to very nearly criminal action. Let a person live, you bastards.

Just watched the PBS documentary "League Of Denial" (Frontline) and I'll never view football the same.
A heartbreaking expose of the NFL's concussion cover-up and the subsequent $750 million settlement.

We don't feel obliged, we pick them because we want to.
