Hey Joe,
I talked to Jaz.
She says you sound like a great boyfriend.
Way to raise the bar on that...not cool bro. Mr. Green

She also says you need to stop being so hard on your knee!!!

Still have some pain, the muscles seem to take turns, the calf seizes, then whatever is the one below the menicus followed by the back of the knee aching
I have very little trouble during the day, I can massage my way along or do squats or whatever, it's during the night that the pain gets to me.

Alright Joe,
It sounds like throughout the day, the inflammation is increasing because of your level of activity and gravity. To counteract this, you should try elevating your leg as often as you can throughout the day. To improve the blood flow from your lower extremities to your heart, thus flushing the inflammation out through your lymphatic system more efficiently. Maintain your anti-inflammatory diet and any vitamins or medications (ibuprofen etc.).

Sorry about the sign off Joe.
Thanks for letting me know it bothered you.
It won't happen again. Very Happy

I meant she might have prearranged plans to dump Joe.

Hope you can tell when I'm not serious. Not everyone can.

I've been sitting as much as I can but I will try the elevating during the day.

After another fitful night, the thing feels a bit better.

Oh, yes, I am the good boyfriend.

Still battling this out each day. I haven't had a day of in ten days and I know that's bad, but this is love or something like it.

Had two guys help with the heavy stuff, could not have done one tenth if what those boyish did.

Rest at the end of the week.

In the home stretch, no pun intended, in this move. Leg performed admirably yesterday until about eight hours in, was rewarded with snacks and wine.

Today will be a rest day by comparison.

I hope you all are well.

@Joe Nation,
Just out of curiosity, what is your g/f moving that it takes so long? Does it take a village to move a g/f or is she moving one?

@Cycloptichorn,
Thanks Cyclopticorn. Smile
Sorry I've been busy. Just now briefly looked this over.
Are you asking for input?

One concern that stands out is his titration of calcium based on what sounds like serum blood calcium levels?
Calcium intake should be more accurately titrated based upon "corrected" calcium levels. Blood protein content greatly affects measurement of Ca++.
I can look into this (soylent white) more deeply if you have something regarding it you would like to discuss. Smile

No input necessary, just thought you might be interested in the follow-up on the guy's experience.

@Ragman,
It DID take a long time. Several reasons: one, she was ungoing a treatment at a hospital when I arrived (long pre-scheduled, both the treatment and my arrival) so that took us through the first weekend as she recovered and we planed out the next steps.
Then came two snowstorms which knocked out a day or two or three. Plus, she has to have everything completely clean before moving anything in.

Start to finish, it took about 21 days to get everything packed, disasembled, moved, unpacked and in between times I put up shelving in the closets, fixed the hose on the dryer so it wasn't kinked, fixed the deadbolts so that they actually lock and hung up several sets of blinds.
I also cooked.
~~
So now I've been back to NYC since Saturday afternoon, I've done nothing but rest and eat. The leg is better but still not well. The MD wants three x-ray views and I'm scheduled to go get those done this afternoon.

~
In other news, I've renewed my NY RoadRunners Membership and have until the middle of May to accept my entry into the Marathon.

Okay.
Had the x-rays. I got to look at them, very nice looking bones if I do say so myself.
I find out more on Thursday.
Meanwhile, last night was not a good night. For some reason, the muscles seem to be most irritate between midnight and 3AM.
I got up, took a Naproxen (I have been, as I always do, avoiding taking medication for pain), got out the ice pack and watched some late-late-late night TV until everything calmed down.
It's instructive to watch the infomercials for various cooking devices in Spanish also found out that there is much to worry about regarding the government's intrusion into our right to consume marijuana.
