@Joe Nation,
Damn. This must be so frustrating. I do hope the damned thing gets better soon!

I have had two sprained ligaments recently and found they suddenly got better after weeks, when I had begun to think they never would.

For whatever the hell that is worth!

@dlowan,
That's actually worth a lot, Dee. I too believe that this will get better over time

(and I have not been resting it the way I know I should have because.....well, because, as my brother the priest says, the men in our family tend to be rescuers even if those we are rescuing don't particularly need rescuing.
Could C have moved without my help? Yes. It would have taken four months instead of four weeks, but hey)

I'm now making daily notes on the condition of the condition I'm in.

Today was better/
So was yesterday.
so that's a trend
upward
or
at least
towards normalcy.

I want to run around the park on Friday.
My girlfriend says
"How about walking?"

@Joe Nation,
Take it easy, Buddy. I'm tellin' ya, it takes a long time for these types of injuries to be repaired by your body. As i said earlier, you need patience. It was months before my knee was right again.

@dlowan,
Quote:
Cherchez la femme.

In the words of John Lennon : "Yeah. yeah, yeah."

I always thought "Cherchez la femme." meant something like
"Check out the hot babe."

but then I thought if a thing had a certain je ne sais quoi it meant they had some indescribable charm, instead it means "I don't know what to say" or, in AMEnglish, 'whachamacallit.'

Anyway, waiting to hear from the MD today about what the x-rays showed.
(They will show nothing.)

I have a set of slow exercises that are helping, otherwise things remain the same.

@Setanta,
My absolute favorite cartoon of all time.

I never delivered my paper route without seeing what was going on in the swamp.

@Joe Nation,
One of the cleverest quotes and bits of insight from them is/was: "We have met the enemy and he is us!"

That is Pogo, isn't it?

@Joe Nation,
If it's any concelation, I broke a rib in Dec... They said it would take up t0 8 weeks to heal...

I imagine around the 8th week, knowing still that it hurt a little, off I went doing everything I used to do, thinking it's "ok"...

It's now April, 4 months later and it's apparent that by thinking I was wonderwoman, (wrong) I've damaged it again somewhat, and so, it still hasn't heeled completely.

Sometimes we think we can do more , when really we should listen, watch and do less until it's over.............

Update: Yesterday I ran
(HA HA 15:00 per mile pace is not exactly running)
I went through the motions of running for a distance of 1.2 miles.

@Joe Nation,
good

maybe

wait til Saturday for the effects to kick in

I've got a hitch in my git-along today from a very special move we were practicing (and practicing and practicing) on Wednesday. I felt fabulous yesterday. I crowed too soon.

Were you doing the "running scene" in Peter Seller's After the Fox?

@Joe Nation,
Woot! Hope you remain effect free! Bad effect, I mean. Good effects are fine.
