Yes, I'm going back to NYC!! Two g/f are coming with me and we're staying at the same brownstone in Brooklyn. May 15 - 25. Roberta, Thomas, Stephen - get ready!
@Mame,
I highly recommend getting up before dawn and jogging through
Central Park with Joe Nation.
@Mame,
I'll be waiting with bells on!
If that tsar person is gonna wear bells, we'll have to meet separately. Not gonna listen to steenkin' bells.
Looking forward to seeing you--bell-less.
@Roberta,
I'm trying to be a calm observer, as I won't be there.
Making moves to be more subtle.
Just don't tell me every place you are thinking of going.
I'll grab your plate...
@ossobuco,
Ok, I'll be calmer. Mame has good friends who aren't used to my or other's aggravation.
But wait! they know her!
How clueless could they be?
@ossobuco,
Too bad you can't join us, Osso... really too bad.
@Mame,
True, maddeningly true.
I'd be there if I could.
In the meantime, I'll be being enjoying the good, the bad, and the ugly. Tell us about all of those, eh?
@Mame,

Thanks for letting me know the dates! My sister is coming thru Tulsa in a couple of weeks or so, and a late May trip to NYC is one of the big things we want to talk about. She's an RN and just took early retirement, so my teaching schedule is the only thing we have to work around. The school year ends on May 17, so it's possible our dates could overlap. I would love that if we can work it out!
@Eva,
Me, too, Eva! It's been a long time since we've seen each other. That would be really great!
@Roberta,
Ooh! I'd finally get to meet Roberta!!!
You're right, Mame. It HAS been too long.
Something for you to see when you get here:

I know I'm looking forward to their spring time placement this March.
@tsarstepan,
Pick the burger that best appeals to you Mame. It'll be my treat when you get here in May.

@Mame,
Why don't a bunch of people throw in 20 bucks and buy Osso a plane ticket to NY?
@tsarstepan,
What a sweetie
I want to go back to the Shake Shack for the portobello burger! It was divine. Have you had one, tsar?
@JTT,
Just checked... it's minimum $320 to fly there and then she'd have to stay somewhere... if she even had the time to go. I'd contribute, though!

Of course I've had it before.
Dyslexia's Best hamburger in America
http://able2know.org/topic/130871-1 is still my favorite thread here at a2k. The shack stack (burger + stuffed portobello mushroom) is my favorite burger ever.
