My advice: steel yourself and really break it off with Rhoda. You'll never find yourself in a meaningful relationship - with Mary or anyone else - until you do.

Well, just to give you all an update, nothing new has happened. I haven't seen Mary yet, but we have plans to go out thursday night. I haven't spoken to Rhoda since last thursday, although she did call me at work on friday. I told her (like I tell her every time she does that) that I couldn't talk at work. She e-mailed me today, apologizing for calling me at work. We haven't made any other plans yet, which is totally fine with me.
Hopefully when I see Mary this thursday, things will become a little clearer.

Sozobe, she's not a doormat, really. I have to re-set boundaries with her from time to time, that's all. I'm probably much closer to being a doormat than she is.
