@Val Killmore,
I find it amazing that some people think that firearms are needed to do killings either one on one killings or mass killings.

Before gunpowder there have been battles where 40 to 50 thousands men had died on the battlefield, so killing even very large scale killings does not need gunpowder.

Not needed as right now the armed agents of the government are massively outnumber by armed citizens and we plan on keeping it that way.

Within fifteen feet or so a knife is just as threatening as a gun if not more so.

Note also I had a hunting bow that was more deadly to be hit with if shooting razor sharp hunting tip arrows and also out range most handguns.

You don't. It's a sort of Ponzi scheme. The more guns--the more killings--the more fear--the more guns--the more killings--the more fear and so on and so on until it cures itself evolution's way.

Are cars more important then children as far far far far more children died in car accidents then by guns so are we uncaring for not banning cars?

Footnote as the ban the assault weapons people are unlikely to save one child and take attentions away from real solution such people do not care about children in my opinion they just wish to used the death of children to promote there own programs.

@BillRM,
Congratulations are in order. When I don't have you on ignore, I've noticed that you've got the distinction of always making an impertinent and irrelevant analogy every single time. You've gotten this down to an art form. Did you study this somewhere or is it a natural talent?

Take note that almost all mass killers hit gun free areas of society and killed themselves when the police show up with guns.

@BillRM,

Columbine's date with evil took place when the law of the land included the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994.

How effective was the Assault Weapons Ban of 1994 in protecting those children from evil?

@BillRM,
It's only considered an "assault weapon" in a small number of states, blue/democrat states like Connecticut.
