NRA has job openings: http://careers.nra.org/job-openings.aspx#1262

Loving the irony of this bit:

This position is subject to credit and criminal background checks.

Was Obama ever subjected to credit and criminal background checks?

Get a new schtick. That one is old...and doesn't work except with your fellow travellers.

Remember Oralboy has a limited vocabulary and no imagination. He has three pat responses because that's all he can handle. You'd have better luck teaching a raccoon to drive a car.

@H2O MAN,
Like I said, I'm not opposed to people owning guns. I just think those people with guns should be mentally stable and know how to fire one.

Quote:
Don't be silly, guns aren't the most dangerous things you can own
Quote:
I didn't say they were the most dangerous thing you can own, I said they were one of the most dangerous things you can own.

Also, if the wackjobs couldn't get guns in the first place, you wouldn't have to worry about defending yourself against them.

Quote:
No assault rifles have been used and it's impossible to duplicate 600 rpm with the human trigger finger.

What about when it's on full auto?

Lastly, I just want to say that I understand that you may want a gun to protect yourself and, contrary to what you may think, I see almost no problem with wanting a gun purely for self-defense. However, if you're going to have a gun in your home, I think you should have it locked when you are not using it. It's far too easy for a small child to pick up an un-locked gun and fire it. Oh, and one more thing, I don't understand why so many gun-owners are opposed to background checks (not aiming that at you)... what do they have to lose if they're perfectly sane (like the claim to be)?

@oralloy,
Perhaps my research was slightly off, but my point still stands... it's much easier to kill someone with a rifle than with a screwdriver.

What is the source of your information on that issue; did u try it
and COMPARE the 2 techniques of acquisition ??

The point is that government has NO AUTHORITY
to interfere in that, the same as it cannot choose a religion for a criminal.
If government cud get away with robbing ANYONE
of his Constitutional freedom, then NO ONE is safe;
the precedent 'd be perpetrated.

If Bill decided to become a hypocrit,
he cud choose to fake believing things
that 'd make him a lot more popular than he is.

No one has a Constitutional Right to work for the NRA,
but any citizen has a Constitutional Right to read or write newspapers
or to keep and bear arms.

It has ALREADY been pointed out in this thread
that no one has a Constitutional Right to work for the NRA.

Are u hypocritically pretending to be ignorant of that ?

And it has already been pointed out in this thread that no one has an unlimited Constitutional Right to anything.

I don't think anyone is refusing to admit it. Most likely people don't address it because it's just a piece of irrelevant trivia. If you came here and proclaimed that grass is green and the sky is blue, you'd get pretty much the same reaction I expect.

The fact that there are boundaries to our rights does not make the violations any less severe when Democrats ignore those boundaries and blatantly violate everyone's rights.
