@parados,
parados wrote:The Democrats tried to overthrow the Constitution? Oh.. this must be your lack of evidence again and instead you rely on hyperbole.
Nonsense. I've already given you that evidence, over and over and over.
parados wrote:1. When the party in control of Congress changes, it is not evidence of the other party trying to overthrow the Constitution.
True. But that particular change in control was brought about because of the strong reaction from the American people, who as it turned out did not like it very much when the Democrats tried to abolish American freedom.
parados wrote:2. You have no evidence of any act of Congress passed that was thrown out as unconstitutional.
Irrelevant. I have irrefutable evidence that it IS unconstitutional.
And you know very well that I do. That is why you do all this bobbing and weaving. If you thought you had even a shot at establishing that assault weapons bans were legitimate, you'd be trying to make that argument.
parados wrote:The ban on assault weapons was not overturned by the courts.
Yet.
Currently we're working on having the courts rule that everyone has the right to carry guns when they go about in public, even in our largest cities. That is almost done.
Not sure what is next on the agenda after that, but assault weapons bans should be struck off the books within the next ten years.
