The Courts will have all the unconstitutional bans on assault weapons struck down within a decade, unless the Democrats manage to pack the courts with enough Constitution-hating judges.

An interesting quote from a newspaper article about a health report (see the thread here)
Quote:
“Something fundamental is going wrong,” said Dr. Steven Woolf, chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University, who led the panel. “This is not the product of a particular administration or political party. Something at the core is causing the U.S. to slip behind these other high-income countries. And it’s getting worse.”

Car accidents, gun violence and drug overdoses were major contributors to years of life lost by Americans before age 50.

The rate of firearm homicides was 20 times higher in the United States than in the other countries, according to the report, which cited a 2011 study of 23 countries. And though suicide rates were lower in the United States, firearm suicide rates were six times higher.

@Walter Hinteler,
The most interesting part is what they forgot to tell you...

The rate of firearm homicides was 20 times higher in the BLUE United States than in the other countries, according to the report, which cited a 2011 study of 23 countries. And though suicide rates were lower in the United States, firearm suicide rates were six times higher in BLUE United States.

BLUE states have the most restrictive gun laws that prevent innocent law abiding citizens from owning weapons and coincidentally these BLUE states are the ones with the higher rates of firearm problems.

Obama, Biden and the rest of the democratic party want to turn the entire country into a BLUE state, if this happens the rate of firearm related crimes will skyrocket.

100,000 Americans a year are shot with hunting rifles???

I to love how they come up with these crazy numbers as the last I look roughly 300 hundreds are killed by rifles of all type a year and assuming a one in ten death rate that would mean that 3000 as an outer limit might had been wounded.

@H2O MAN,
And your source for those statistics is? We know in the past you just make up your "facts". You care to cite a reliable source?

Obama & Biden want to take a dump on the children's graves and wipe their asses with copies of the constitution.

Preventing legal US citizens from exercising their constitutional right to bear arms
makes the death of those children and others killed by criminals even more tragic.

@H2O MAN,
Firearms death rate per 100,000 in Massachusetts: 3.1
Firearms death rate per 100,000 in Texas: 11

Guess which one has more restrictive gun control.

Your figures are crap, H20. No surprise there.

I don't see the significance of focusing on the method used. If those people were killed with knives instead of with guns, they'd still be just as dead.

There is no reason for this kind of excess, H2O. What do you possibly think you gain from such nonsense?

Didn't you just use the comment "sees no reason that that should be inflicted on 100,000 Americans a year" in reference to McChrystal's call to ban all hunting rifles?

Are 100,000 Americans a year being shot with hunting rifles?

@Frank Apisa,

FrankA, you need to address your question to Obama & Biden
and ask them what they hope to gain from such nonsense.

While your at it, ask them why our rulers refuse to address the problem of criminals being armed

That makes no sense, H2O.

There is absolutely no indication that they want to **** on the children's graves...or wipe their ass with the constitution. Obviously YOU thought something was to be gained for your arguments here with such an ugly, excessive comment.

I'm just wondering what it is...and asking Obama or Biden what you want to gain by such excess simply does not make sense.

So...let me ask again: What do you hope to gain with such excess?

@Frank Apisa,

FrankA, ask Obama & Biden why they refuse to address the problem of criminals being armed.

Ask them why they want to prevent law abiding citizens from defending themselves from armed predators.

Ask them why they fear a populace of law abiding citizens being armed.

Nonsense. You're the people that have made it really easy for criminals to get guns. You're the problem. Not liberals.
