What States or Portions Thereof of The USA should be told to GET OUT!

I vote all of Louisiana and all of Texas,GET OUT !!!including the part where my kid lives but not the part that includes Austin. (That should be an International City).

Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Georgia should get the hell out and stay out.
They cost us twice as much as they bring in anyway. They are worse than teenagers.

(I want there to be some type of Visa program so I can still go to Anna Maria Island on the Gulf Coast. I know! That can be made into a dependency of Puerto Rico.)

Where else? Might as well let Oklahoma go with Texas, that way we get rid of Jim Inhofe at the same time.

Somebody call Mexico and tell them to come get Arizona except for the Grand Canyon.

Some folks in Northern Maine want to join Nova Scotia. Ha!
See if they like living through a Canadian winter from now on.

The Southern half of Maine would become the State of Eastern Massachusetts, just like it was before we made those Mainers into a State back before the War.
(It's their fault that Missouri became a Slave State.)

Come to think of it. Missouri was thisclose to being on my get out list. Luckily Akin didn't win.

Other changes for the better:

North Dakota and South Dakota should be one State. The two dozen people who live in those territories shouldn't have four votes in the Senate.

New York City should be a State of it's own. Two Senators and four US Reps.

Idaho should just be absorbed 50/50 into Washington and Oregon. (Montana is already too big and too empty.)

Do you think there's a chance that the Bahamas would like to buy North Carolina? We could throw South Carolina for free.

@edgarblythe,
There's one problem. Technically you've got to find a place that's willing to take the whiny, bitterhearted mis-informed cretins.

You can't send them to Australia without their permission ( I mean the Australians' permission.) and, once the GOPers find out that OZ is not the gun-loving, fully theocratic place they think it is, they won't go.
(I won't foist them on our good Aussie friends anyhow.)

Better that they just stay, have to have to visa to visit their relatives in Kentucky and Ohio; we won't have to send them a dime in Federal Aid, we'll be able to say we've raised the average IQ of the country by twelve points.

@Joe Nation,
Why would Mexico want a barren, cactus-dotted desert like Arizona? Especially if the Grand Canyon doesn't go with the deal? Oh, wait! I don't want to give Salt River Canyon away either. Or the Petrified Forest/Painted Desert.

@Joe Nation,
Ditching Oklahoma just to get rid of Inhofe seems a bit extreme. Even if it is warranted.

@Eva,
If you should ever seek politcal asylum, there will be bedrooms competing for you in the United States of Canada.

Why can't they each self-deport to a different location? Spreading them a little thinner might help the process.

I think Point Roberts should secede to Canada. It's just a tiny wee place and you can only get there by going through Canada. It used to belong to us, long before the 49th parallel was made to be the border. I don't think there asking to leave or anything, and I'm pretty sure they voted Democrat.. But, they've got some loverly shore lines.. just saying. Plus it's considered the safest place in the US....

It used to be I'd have liked to have Orange County, California plucked out of the state, but it's been changing there..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Orange_County,_California#Politics

I'm mildly confident similar changes will take place in other "strongholds".

Hell, we don't want no Arizona.
Southern Texas up to the Nueces river (the original frontier Texans broke), we can take, also New Mexico, California with its tanned girls and Southern Nevada (specially Vegas) will be alright.
BUT NO FREAKING ARIZONA!

@fbaezer,
If you are going to take Nevada, I think it only fair that you take Utah as well.

I think some of them already moved to your fair country a whole back...

@Rockhead,
We sent them back to the Middle of Nowhere, where they belong.

You keep Utah, make a bigger salt lake with it, I don't know, whatever.

@Lustig Andrei,
This is why they should set up homesteading on the Moon, or even Mars.

@fbaezer,
As a californian finding herself in New Mexico, which is all right but so not meeeee, no ocean, y'know, and long liking Mexico, I'd be sort of ok with that for a few minutes if I could live by the Pacific (or Mexico City), but would do a last minute reneg re New Mexico or any of California since I want to stay a citizen, thus will stay here. In trade I'd replace CA and NM with Utah, Idaho, Montana (mother in law was from there), and Wyoming.

Oh, and JLNobody lived a bunch of time in Los Angeles and Mexico, but is now in Arizona, so he and his wife need rescuing.

@ossobuco,
I vote we keep Wyoming.

I like it a lot there...

that's the last of the old America.

and a large chunk of Montana is Indian land.

I don't think we can ask them to move again...

@Rockhead,
Yeah, I was feeling remiss, one of my cousins sons lives in Wyoming, and an old pal was a prof in Laramie. Hmmm, she lives in Tucson now. She might need rescuing too.

I still want to trade Montana. Do you know how many hundreds of times I've heard about Missoula? We can keep all the indian lands. (That get's complicated, being the whole place)

Now I've been thinking about this. First thing we do is repatriate NASA from Houston. Then we repatriate all the weaponry we paid for that we loaned the Texas National Guard . Fly all their fighter jets and bombers north, and leave the Air Guard only a couple of crop dusters. Then we tell the Mexican Army, "hey, You want 'em back? Come on in."

Gonna be a great day when all those now-Mexican Texans realize they have to compete with all the other Mexicans when they try to sneak into the booming United States, freed of the drag on our economy they used to be, as an illegal immigrant, to get enough to keep body and soul together. It'll be very satisfying to see Rick Perry live the rest of his life as a $5-an-hour-under-the table pool boy and hedge trimmer on someone else's estate in Greenwich, CT. And we get to deport him back to Texas, Mexico, every couple of years.
