Breuss fast
Hi Edgar,
I'm now 5 weeks post-fast and have gained back almost all the weight I lost, and am almost back to my normal strength in my training routines.
My body had a pretty violent reaction when I first started eating and I was quite sick on the second day. Confused But it only lasted 24 hours and I started over again with lighter cooked veggies and less volume for a few days. I have since been eating like a horse actually- never seem to get enough.
I'm going to restart my Friday fasts which I've been doing for over a year, on the Friday coming and will take that opportunity to go for a full battery of blood tests. So in that regard I can't really tell you what effect the fast had as yet. Should get the results in a few weeks. I'll try to arange a CAT scan also.
An interesting side note- within two weeks of ending the fast I started having lower back problems (nerve pain in upper leg) Crying or Very sad - I suspect due to the combined effect of lack of exercise and cutting out supplements such as glucosamine and MSM for the six week period. It takes about 8 weeks after restarting the supplements before any effect is felt. I'll be going for some deep tissue massage therapy tomorrow to try and alleviate the problem. In retrospect, maybe it is better to continue those types of supplements, in spite of what Rudolph Breuss says!
I'll post again when I have some results from my bloodwork.
I appreciate your interest
Good health, Steve Very Happy

I'll be sure to communicate my "progress report" though I don't think of any result as final. I think every test result is merely an indication of our progress on the journey towards good health. It seems like yours has been a long and interesting one with some success. I hope I can make that claim when I look back in ten years on a voyage of learning that really only began three years ago.
Whatever the current outcome I do feel there were significant benefits to the fast. My digestive and elimination systems have never worked better, which I attribute entirely to the fast and the rest it provided my intestinal system.
Cheers

A disease such as cancer is a lifelong fight. This I know. The instant you relax and give up the fight it has won.

Hello.

Hi Christian, about Breusse Cancer Cure !What you need to know that there are people who can do the teraphy and those who can not, what is needed are conditions for it! I know several people who are even after 4 years leave and one of them is expecting a babe. The doctors tried everything but at the and said that she has only several month left to live, and now as I said she is expecting a babe. What you also need is support of your family or the one you live with.
Why people usually say that the cure is not good, because you need to read a book, all the details and to do as it's written!!!
Some people say:"oh I don't need to do that every day" if you red book you now what I'm thinking

My written is not so good! Nena

Breuss aftermath
I promised a progress report in my last email and just received the first of what I hope are continuing positive results. My PSA, the blood marker for prostate cancer, has dropped by almost 50% to 6.5 from 12.6, taken 5 weeks post fast. I'm feeling better than I have in a long time and most of the back problems I suggested earlier might have resulted indirectly from doing the fast (see earlier post) have gone away. I'm working out regularly and feeling stronger than ever. My weight is now several pounds more than before I did the fast, and even my golf game has improved! Holy cow! How much more positive can it get than that?
Well, I guess my PSA could be lower, but at least it is moving in the right direction.
Good health,
Steve

Hi

I recently read the book "Breuss Cancer Cure" and I'm looking to try some of his methods. I have the juice coming in the mail but I'm unsure where to find the ingredients I need to make the teas. Can someone who has been through the treatment help me?

For example, the Kidney Tea asks for horsetail, stinging nettle, knotgrass, and st. john's wort. No store by me carries that stuff.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

Hi
I did the 6 week fast in spring this year. I was able to order the juice by the case from a local health-food store. The herbs for the teas are more of a challenge. If you are not too far from a city, I suggest that you check yellow pages for "herbalist" or "herbologist" or "herbal products" listings. I was able to find most of them that way after I had already ordered some on the internet. However, I live in a city of 3MM people and there are only 11 listings under "herbal products" and most are chinese, whose herb names bear no resemblance to the names you're looking for. Fortunately there were two non-oriental shops and the health food store that ordered the Breuss juice was also able to find some of the more obscure herbs they didn't stock.
I hope you're nice and plump to start off because you will lose a lot of weight. You can get a lot of "kidney teas" on the internet but they are not the same formula as Breuss. I think you will just have to find a herbalist somewhere and order the ingredients you need. I'm in Montreal, Canada and if I can help you from here let me know.

Thanks for the reply Muri. I'm now in day 19 and the weight loss has slowed - just 17 pound so far. i still feel weak at times and am just walking for my exercise. I'm also taking the two bowls of onion broth daily and that helps immensely. I don't have any real difficulty with not eating except for the social aspect. The social life of our extended family revolves around gatherings for big dinners either at home or in restaurants, and there have been several that I just had to skip, which is tough. I'm doing well though, in spite of the weight loss and at almost half way, there is no doubt that I'll complete the fast.
I'll be interested in the outcome for your friend and I'll keep you posted on my own outcome.
Best, Steve

I'm going from memory, but I know it is in the book, as that is where I got it from.
Just boil 1 qt pure filtered or bottled water. Cut two small or 1 large organic onions up (in quarters) and put them in a caserole dish (Pyrex is best), and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes. then add the boiling water with some bouillon powder or cubes (for flavor).
(Don't add cold water or you'll be buying a new caserole dish- believe me, I know!) Put it into the oven at 350 degrees for another 15 or 20 minutes. When you take it out scoop out the onions and voila- delicious onion broth! It's enough for two large bowls. I kept it in two separate thermoses, one for "lunch" and one for "dinner". Good Luck!

About Bruess fast...
I looked for the information about effectively of The Breuss Cancer Cure. And I am so happy to find it here.

My mother has a large problem with cancer. And the situation is heavier as she has a bad health for the radiology and other medical manipulations.

I studied closely all posts and would like to know about the situation of that guy, who has the stomach cancer and also the situation with the "stevecj".

Many thanks!!!

I am sorry for my base level English!

I strongly recommend that you buy the book Breus wrote, rather than being guided to a thread like this, as it has much better detail of the program, which may make the difference for success.

Artur,
I think the Breuss cancer cure is worth a try as I believe some types of cancer respond better to the Breuss protocol than others. You did not mention what type of cancer your mother has, but in my case the Breuss fast had a definite beneficial effect, though I do not believe it cured me totally. Your mother would have to follow a modified lifestyle and diet after completing the Breuss fast, for an indefinite time, probably the rest of her life.
I will say that I found it very difficult to do, and it requires a strong committment to complete the six weeks. However, I am seriously considering doing it again this year.
You may also wish to do some reading on Johanna Budwig, a German scientist who developed a treatment based on diet and regular consumption of flax seed oil blended with Quark (cottage cheese). Her treatment has apparently had some significant success treating many types of cancer.
I wish you Good luck, good health and success
Steve

Thanks.

Hi all,

I just stumbled on this forum researching the Breuss Cancer cure. I read about this in Daniel Reid's books on detox. My wife has mediastinal neuroendocrine carcinoma which is a rare and difficult disease. We are seriously looking at doing the Breuss fast as well as looking at the work of the Gerson Therapy and Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez.

I was happy to read stevecj account of his experience. At the very least, the fast should make us stronger (yes I will do it as well though I have no cancer).

We are traveling to Vancouver Canada to consult with specialists there on other options but we are leaning more and more to a radical diet-based therapy.

regards, steve

Steve,

If you are going to Vancouver you should try to look up the Canadian doctor(?) who did the english translation of Breuss's book. I don't recall his name and I am at work so I do not have my copy of the book handy. I do believe he was from Vancouver though, and an experienced practitioner of Breuss's methods with his own patients. Personally, I am planning to do the fast again this year, once it warms up. It is something that needs to be done in a warm climate. I admire you for joining your wife and I am sure it will provide tremendous moral support. I'm also familiar with Gerson's work and the Gonzalez progression on the concepts of the late Dr Kelley. I think their work is very credible.
I wish both of you success and good health.
Regards,
Stevecj

Daughter with Leukemia
Hi, I need urgent help.

My daughter has Leukemia. I want to put her on a vegan diet. Can anyone tell me what type of vegetables & fruits to give her? The type of vegetables & fruits that gives protein and the necessary nutrients for her.

Thanks!

I'm not too familiar with the best approach for Leukemia, but many people, including Breuss, feel that reducing protein intake is what helps curb many cancers. The Breuss fast itself reduces both protein and sugar intake, both of which are feeders of cancer "tumours". In the case of blood cancers such as Leukemia, I believe Breuss has a protocol that is specifically for treatment of the disease.
Beets and carrots seem to be important in most treatments along with broccoli. I think there are significant advantages to juicing, to get the nutritional value without overtaxing your digestive system. You can get protein from brown rice and nuts as well, if protein is what you need. I would suggest consulting a good disease treatment nutritionist who can give you more expert advice than I can.
