They're still complaining about the Holocaust while they mistreat Palestinians.
That's not irony; that's intentional cruelty.
Who are "they're"? Is that similar to "you people"?
One shouldn't talk about complaining, since on PBS I recently saw the annual pilgrammage to the internment camp for the Japanese. I do not think any Japanese were worked to death, or gassed at the internment camps. Yet, "they're" still complaining in a strange sort of way (some saying they suffered, but they love the country that interned them).
Don't you think Japanese-Americans should have closure on this event, since at that time in history, Asians were such a minority in this country, that, in my opinion, it is hard to think that they would have been treated benignly.
To be perfectly honest, unless one grows up today with Asian students in one's classes, many older folks, in my opinion, still find it hard to discern one Asian from another. I am likely better than many people, but not having had Asians in my world, until the 21st century, they seem to all blend together, unless I see one many, many times. The ethnic groups I grew up with are all discernable, since they were in my classes as a student. Asians in NYC did not exist in any number until I was far into adulthood. Give me a break.
