I completely agree, Letty. I'm happy to help fakes if it means I don't hurt someone genuine.

I agree with Soz. That is why I was very empathic until it became obvious that we were being taken for fools!

I love you Letty. You are a true honest real human being for whom reaching out with love will never be a misplaced errand.

I love you, Letty.

and all the others here who, seeing someone in need, reached out out in love, for love's sake, you are loved too.

There are people, really only humans really , poor things,
who lie for love.

Odd.

When all they had to do is ask.

so angel,,,,,, baby, you are loved too.
Though you haven't figured out if that is safe or not.

tis.

My eyes just filled with tears, Joe. That and the fact that I'm listening to "Their Hearts Were full of Spring."

Love and fear. The only true emotions...and that's the real rock that gives us hope against encroaching sands.

Now, I must fix Chili. Hopefully, I can blame the tears on the onions.

Goodnight, beautiful people.

The problem I've had with this thread was the writing style, it didn't read like a 15 year old girl at all.

I agree, that was one of my problems with Angel, she was more articulate than many of my undergraduates.

Angel began this "story" under the name Crystal_Ann and then switched to AngelEyes. For a short while the two accounts were link and then the Crystal Ann account disappeared. Craven will have to explain how that works, its beyond me.

Kids are getting growing faster nowadays though, so writing style really shouldn't matter, maybe she's good in english.

I have a message from Angel. She has not been able to get into A2K since her last post and has just asked me to tell her about the responses since that post. I told her that she wasn't going to like it, but she wanted to know anyway. Well, she is very hurt at what is being said.

She hasn't been banned. I suspect the statement that she hasn't been able to get in was just another lie. She's simply trying to continue to play this game on the people she managed to get offsite contact info from.

Being as the subject has been brought up....there are a couple other posters I wonder about.

I almost feel like I get a certain vibe from people online. For whatever reason, sometimes the vibe comes across as "fake", even if I have no real reason to think someone is being phoney.

Do you all know what I mean? Smile

That's the nature of the Internet beast. ("Nobody knows you're a dog...")

I'm just very careful about who I give my personal info to -- otherwise, I try not to let that stuff take up too much of my brain, and answer away. At the very least, even if the person asking the question is fake, someone who really has the same question may come across it later and genuinely be helped by the answer.

I know exactly what you mean, caprice. It's a vibe thing. You can feel it, by the desperate tone, the overwillingness to tell all, you just get the feeling that it's not for real. I didn't touch this thread for that very same reason.
Oh well. I guess it was bound to happen. Here's hoping Craven & Co. can figure out a way around this in the future.

eoe: Do you ever find you can tell when it's a guy pretending to be a girl or vice versa? I find women have this uncanny ability to do this whereas men usually can't tell. I once went into a chat site with a male sounding name, but not committing to a particular sex. Almost every single woman figured it out. The guys didn't. *L*

<phooey - lost my on-line connection just after i'd prepared a response on reading stand up for pessimism - so i saved it for now>

You could be right about her writing abilities, stand up for pessimism. It's always difficult to know who is behind the words we read online.

Sometimes, there are small things that make us question the validity of things we read. Sometimes, there are things that simply make us uneasy. Sometimes, there are things that make us curious, and we can only read along. Sometimes, there are things we just have to respond to/offer advice about.

I know that I am probably over-cautious in terms of believing what I read. I came to the on-line world with one thing in the back of my head - I assume everyone's in prison until I can prove otherwise. There's no doubt that's a sceptical view, but, well, it's part of me. I know I'm not as nice (and trusting) as I used to be. I sometimes wish I could be like some of the other posters who say (and follow-through) that they'll offer advice to everyone in hopes of not harming those who genuinely need the help. Thank goodness they're around.

*LOL* Gee and I thought I was cynical about the 'net! Smile

I'm still trusting at times...and then wanna give myself one big kick in the @$$ for being so gullible, but that passes after a while.

I don't want Craven (& Co.) to do anything other than tell us the truth when it's needed. They're not nannies (not that that's what you said, eoe, I'm jumping ahead). Of course, they can do what they want. Pamper us, spank us, post nekkid pix of us.
