@ehBeth,
Good idea. I'll have to cogitate.

Ok, that took twenty seconds. A cookbook (yes, there are treasures to keep) nook - mine is a closet five feet high and 16 inches wide and deep. Make room for a lap top/scanner/printer and note taking and books both wonderful and crappy, w/garden view, if space.
If room, make it a room, with a regular old bulletin board.
Perhaps a food painting by a child and/or adult.

According to legend, a cricket resting on the hearth will bring good fortune and good luck to a household.

If you don't have a hearth, no problem. Just rest this little critter I'm sending you anywhere, he's ready to do his job.

Good luck in your new home!

Thanks everyone!

The movers are still here loading the truck. We’re just sitting around waiting. Marco said he would follow them over to the new house and supervise while I take Antonio out to lunch, then I’ll bring back lunch for Marco and the movers!

No more panic attacks, everything is going smoothly. I’m just a nervous Nelly lol.

Liberal means turning away,
not being strictly correct,
not being orthodox.

Is there a different definition to which u object ?

There in, Jeff and I are taking the three of them out to dinner to celebrate, celebrating their new home, not the fact he’s two blocks away from me, the only good thing about that is he’s within rock throwing distance!

@Butrflynet,
We never did find the glass snake or the lizards! The snake probably ate the lizards and he’s now hiding in one of the boxes.

Antonio cried when he gave Gilbert a hug goodbye, we’re only 15 minutes away and Gilbert will still be taking care of the dogs for us but Antonio always talked with him through the fence.

We only set up the bedrooms, TV and our computers, today we will unpack the kitchen, and the rest can wait. My sister in law is spending the day with us. Once the kitchen is put away we are all going out for Pizza!

The dogs have been exploring their new back yard but they stay clear of the pool, they never did like the water. Smokey wants to go out front but we won’t let him, new house and new area he may get scared and run off.

I’m thinking of putting an arch in the living room.
Cool

At the very least, you should put one of these arched pergolas in the backyard. Maybe that will get the need for arches out of your system. Wink
